I need to crop some parts in Illustrator CS, but there is only the lasso tool, which is not accurate. How come there is no tool like marquee? The knife tool? But it keep saying that use on a segment or anchor point, i point at the anchor point also cannot.

first, u select the shape tool then create a square on the object than u want.

select the original picture/object, then select the square ( by pressing shift + clic kon the object and square )

press CTRL + 7

that is masking tool man, but still can be consider crop

This is the best way of croping in illustrator. is called mask also. But remember the shape u cret must be the topest layer onli u press ctrl - 7

to relase the crop or mask shortcut is ctrl + alt 7. If anything wrong wif the masking release and do it again. remember it must be the topest layer.

Forgot the step, b4 you press ctrl 7 select the thing u wan to crop or mask and the shape on top.

after select them onli press ctrl 7
