sri comp staff suck!! when company grow up ...now alredi LSLY...

Frankly, I also feel the same. I only goto SRI to buy specific components which is cheaper than other shops, WHICH I DON'T NEED TO ASK THEIR PPL.
(1) go in
(2) look around, grab item
(3) pay
(4) *chow*

Not a word spoken.

If I'm buying mobo/processor/RAM/etc... I'll goto other shops on the same floor. Better customer service.

if counter got malay girl, u can actually ask for discount like me did.

Well, how I get into this... I was at the row selling PSU, USB, headsets, all the way to cables, printers, speakers. Tried asking several sales ppl, none was helpful. Either say don't know, or walk past me as I'm invisible. But then keep on following me like I'm going to steal their things. However, the best-of-the-worse among them... I would say the printer guy. At least he tries to sell me some inkjets printers, when I'm asking for the inks.

I didn't ask for a discount though. Wasting time to discount RM1-5, the parking and my time is more valuable.

The printer guy is not their staff, it is promoter

next time u can try at AllIT or viewnet there, they r much more helpful than sri com staff.

What I strongly feel that LYN play important role to its forummers.
As long as you are LYN's forummer,you will know and get warn by other members in this forum.
Sometimes,forum will help forummers to make a wise buying decision.
Of course not as to compare to millions innocent buyers that are not yet at the right time come to buy their own Pc.

u can goto PC-zone...they offer decent service...as well as c-zone.

u can consider viewnet, MYPC, cycom.

got 1 allit staff that working at the hardware counter... useless!

went there last saturday wanna buy 120gb 2.5" hdd for my ps3. seriously i am a noob when it comes to notebook so my friend asked me only buy sata1. so when i asked 1 guy at the counter... your 120gb 2.5" hdd is sata1 or sata2? he answered, i dont know! then i asked again, what's the difference between sata1 and sata2... he answered again, i dont know! i was like... damn you lah...

so i just walked away... gave business to czone after that.

Sorry to hear about that.Understand ur situation.But this happens to most of the shop.Be it LYP or outside LYP.
Hope ur forummers aware,today not easy to find one good qualitysalesman.Although u might get one but still not easy to maintain them.

-Some salesmans lack of knowledge and might just new ah.
-Some salesmans are stagnant (not more improvement etc )

Also by looking at today slim margin of retailing plus many competitiors ,hard for salesman to work and maintain in this line.No matter how good a management from a company also can't help much.When one joined this line,they have to accept fate of this industry.

All my advise is they have to equip themselve with as much knowledge and experience as possible for them to be abled to make more sales and earn extra income personally.Whoever can go through it ,will gain a success .But how many of them know the objective of learning more ?

at least tat salesman can try asking help from his senior instead just give such excuses, i used to be noob when first time working in lyp 6yr ago.

yup true. if dont know should just ask your senior colleague around there. customer also wont angry with you if you ask your senior staff for confirmation. same thing happened at czone... this guy at the counter not sure about sata1/2 for 2.5" hdd so he checked with 1 of the senior staff there. again this senior staff also not sure coz he told me 2.5" dont have differences for sata1/2... then he asked me wait first. he walked into the outlet and double confirmed again.

Could it be possible that other seniors were busy or busy entertained some other customers mar ?
Could it be the salesman no want disturbed seniors ler ?
