If you get Men's Fitness (UK Edition) issue Nov 2011, can see gym around the world that use DIY equipment.  Got barbell using rough iron rod with car rims/tyre used as the weight plate and also got punching bag that is actually an old refrigerator.

my rims and bar
should be 25-26kg

yeah im running out of plates..with 20kg plates i can finally try deadlifting 100kg+ weights! sweat.gif i think the bench is good enough for beginner..but maybe need upgrade coz the seller say can support up to 200kg weight only. i would consider joining a gym once i could move some good amount of weight.
if you drop the bar down would it bounce on the floor? lol that will be so cool..

i have a total of 150kg , include dumbbell (5+2.5kg) x 2unit dumbbell 10kg +teco 1kg plate 10 unit .......

15kg x 4 unit ,10 x 4 unit , 5 x 4 unit ,

i can deadlifft 92 kg,,,

the barbell with rims is too high , just for fun , is eat alot of space , that time i put shop to use to save weight plate at home.........

not using anymore....
