Did you stop or continue driving when reach red-line ?

My case, it reach red line. But I continue drive for >30 minutes. Then it drops back to middle there.
No smoke/steam comes out.
Happens few times a week.
Radiator cap is fine. No radiator water loss/leak. Fans all working.
Finally mechanic says is the VDO meter cluster temperature faulty. I did not change it though.
Yes. It needs pressure to work, but if the seal is leaking, the steam/hot air leaks out, and you will run low on radiator water/coolant.

hey bro. i encounter this b4 but mine not reach red line. when i drive 10~15 mins my temp raised up to 1 bar above middle then continue drive will drop back to middle level. Lastly i changed the thermostat. The thermostat not functioning properly at the rated temp. It open too slow. After change thermostat, my temp below middle level now. Becoz of this bloody thermostat, its caused many of my rad hose hardened. I change all my hose include the tiny hose before the thermostat.

Bloody culprit was the thermostat.

I'm using his VS and GC..working great 

walao...haha...ok...6k rpm..but manual car i think still ok but seriously even i drive my dad saga manual also i also did not rev more than 4k...i change gear often..haha...

i dunno why whenever i rev the car i have the feeling of "torturing" the engine..haha..anyway just my 2cent bro 

p/s : just to add on my wira aredi 18 years old liao..haha...so dont dare to rev 99..

Car more powerful..Gear drag further 
Fuel save not noticeable maybe due to my heavy foot..
Air cond compressor kick in not noticeable and not so frequent..
All lights seems brighter 

hey bro...rupanya shuddering issue is due to the TB problem? haha..mine oso have this prblem...whenever i park at my college..in the afternoon my car will like vibrate and dun want to move..haha...lepas a while then ok...is this problem of the TB or shud i install VS+GC? cause i think i havent change my TB yet since quite a time...haha

btw i also interested to install eric.tioh VS+GC... i quote his price aready...total RM250 for both... 

my orange light didnt light up..haha...maybe the bulb died...everytime after long day parking under hot sun its like wanna half mati..haha..

First question, what is the model of the engine of my wira. Im thinking of full rebuilding the engine myself coz theres a lot of smoke coming out like kereta api (no kidding). The smoke even got into and filled up the passenger cabin if we open the window.  Suiciders would love this car, dont even have to tarik paip dari ekzos ke dlm kabin utk bunuh diri. Haha. Ok. Anybody know which engine part specifically responsible for the keretapi smoke?. Thanking you in advance.

I have just replace my valve seal 2 weeks ago...but still got smoke when i start my car in the morning...hopefully its just white smoke and don't consume engine oil anymore...

Its a white smoke, and consumed engine oil too. I had to refill oil every 2 week. What do you think is the exact problem?  If possible i dont want to do full overhaul.
Im thinking of alternative solution to the overhauling the engine, that is to upgrade the current stock 4g15 to waja or persona stroker kit, changing from 1.5 to  1.6L. Because of the same process of widen the hole and installing new piston and new ring, i think the smoke problem will be gone too. Anybody opinion on these?
