Cruising at high speed (for my wira tongue.gif) at 120-140km/h today saw my temperature gauge rises alarmingly to the red line,.. again, previously already check for leakage but there's no problem, sigh so frustrated with the wira now, thinking of selling it off for a persona or something but i kinda like the wira as well.

Google'd and saw some guy says is the radiator problem, too old or something or the radiator cap, anyone know how much these thing cost?

Yes. It needs pressure to work, but if the seal is leaking, the steam/hot air leaks out, and you will run low on radiator water/coolant.

Almost reaching red-line. No steam/smoke either, but the air cond suddenly blows hot air. Thats why i decided to stop.

The mechanic haven't called back since yesterday, going to their shop later to ask.

Oh, i took back my wira yesterday, the mech says its the radiator pipe leakage, they spent one whole day checking with no avail, finally took to another shop where they measure got pressure drop, hence deduced its the radiator pipe, so total spent 200 for everything . Radiator pipe, flushing the radiator , add new coolant and workmanship.

Sigh. Just spent 200+ recently for servicing, now.. sweat.gif

Planning to buy voltage stabilizer and grounding cables from forummer erictioh soon. Anyone using a similar thing in their wira? Interested to know how well does this perform on our aging wira.

LOL Rev to 3k-4k is still acceptable and recommended. My wira gets all quirky after a nice spanking brows.gif same auto as urs cool.gif

AT wira? Yeah i was hoping the VS + GC will solve the throttle body shuddering issue when i start my car under the hot sun (just changed TB before this).

So FC still remains like last time? Bummer.

Yeah, did ur orange engine light light up when the car shudders? Its TB, common problem in our wiras. Changed once jor, last time is the car will shudder, stutter and finally died off in the middle of the road sweat.gif

I am just hoping the VS and GC can regulate my car system. Yeap, 250 for both. Probably next week will fix with my friend together. Nvm lah as long the VS and GC gives the car the extra oomph, wira quite powerful on the highway. Mine still can hit 140 easily although the steering is shaking like mad, though they say its the balancing problem.

Its balancing problem, mine also vibrate like hell at 100, but u still can push it to 140. exhilarating biggrin.gif let the mivec roar brows.gif

balancing rm 20 like that only, heh, try to do it frequently.

Go to another tayar shop and do alignment and balancing, i agree the guy feels like a con.

mine is newer than urs 9 years, but the older wiras are supposedly better

First question, what is the model of the engine of my wira. Im thinking of full rebuilding the engine myself coz theres a lot of smoke coming out like kereta api (no kidding). What colour of the smoke? My wira overheated and somehow melt the top gasket causing water to leak into the engine and mixed with the engine oil. White smoke spurt out of the exhaust when its started.

I did a top overhaul for my engine costing 455rm few days ago and its okay now (touch wood)

Im thinking of alternative solution to the overhauling the engine, that is to upgrade the current stock 4g15 to waja or persona stroker kit, changing from 1.5 to  1.6L. Because of the same process of widen the hole and installing new piston and new ring, i think the smoke problem will be gone too. Anybody opinion on these?

If its similar problem with mine, u will see the engine oil turn a milky white colour. Anyway not too knowledgeable on these things, just sharing my story cheers! smile.gif
