So recently I got myself a Proton Wira SE 1.5(A) '05. The engine is okay, and the car itself is still in good condition. But my speedometer isn't. Every time I left the car for few hours under the sun (go to class), the speedometer is not working when I drive afterwards. Until only a certain time, will it suddenly jump and show the current speed. Thinking it was the meter cable which is the problem, I had it changed yesterday. But the problem happens again today. What is actually wrong?

Guys, usually the driver's power window control, if I want to change that part, how much does it cost?

Dude, I'm having the exact same problem now. The check engine light came on few weeks back, since I'm a noobie in this matter, I straight away went to Proton workshop & they said the MAP sensor is broken, well it is, so it was changed. But then tonight, while I was driving, suddenly the throttle went off and as soon as I stopped, the engine went off. Pissed off dude The check engine light came on again. Left it at home for a few hours, and then started the engine again, the sign didn't came up. What is the exact problem actually? Or this has been discussed earlier?

As for the brake light, I've no idea but I have the same thing going on too, light is still on while driving. What's the problem eh?

I was pissed because I thought the problem I had before won't happen again, at least for a year ot two after I changed the MAP sensor, but then last night, I geleng kepala liao. Don't know what's the problem this time. AND along w the brake problem as well, my brake light is on even when I'm driving

Its the same thing with brake oil right? I've just got it changed three weeks ago.

When the check engine light comes on, that is when the jerking comes on as well. Either it jerks or the throttle just simply went ineffective. Step on the gas pedal, but no respond. Any similar problems like this you've encountered/heard before dude?

I've got the MAP sensor changed two weeks ago, it was broken at that time, hence much more breakdowns at that time. But I didn't expect it to happen again now aiyoyo. My engine is the 4G15 iinm, three speed auto, correct?

Thanks mrchinot for the advise, I'll check that soon. As for the brake light, I opened up my hood last night and checked the brake fluid, I was shocked man. The brake fluid is already below the minimum level. And I just changed the brake fluid 3 weeks ago. Gonna bring it to a workshop & get it changed, plus check if there's any leakage or someone has been drinking my brake fluid lol.

So I went to the workshop earlier today. Total damage 1K liao, damn. There seemed to be a leakage at the brakes pump, which somehow the drips of the fluid is not seen under the car. And my total body also needs a change, this is what caused my engine to cut off while driving. I had it cleaned only last time although the mechanic told it already has a problem. Along w the labour charge, brake fluids and other smaller parts need to be paid, I hope this problem won't happen again, at least for a year or two. Or three. Or four possibly
