Amz pricing strategy goes up n dwn according to its age frm release date .. even for black friday promos, its cheapest for de older ttls.. for d e newer ones.. ya its cheaper, but only just.. for instance las yr.. I tot I struck it when I got de Back to d future litening deal for ard 34usd shipped but a little later it was much cheaper at amz.uk .. I guess if u are of I-mus-have-it-now mentality, then its ok, cos u still get sum savings but for me..

Its kinda painful..

Frm my experience .. comedies/romcom tend to drop in prices really fast.. pre ordering is fine if u dont mind payin for it..of cos
I would get a bd for tis .. for sure .. unless I find aftr sampling it [if I can get an at least 720p mkv of it ] n find it downrite horrid.. to me SD cant cut it anymore.. I mean if comparing de SD n HD pricing for tis genre of films..

I tink only last year tat amz started d litening deal tingy.. I forgot how de previous years BF deals were spread out liao..
OK.. I guess on de litening deal, u can check out wif wats in ur cart n tat way u can sprd out de per ordr 4.99 charge.. but if u only hv 1 ttl to buy .. then I guess u hv to see if its worth it or not.. but I tink amz marketin team is smart n theyll make it worth ur while to get even one ttl during BF promos..

I like old flicks.. if its well remastered.. de enjoyment factor is doubly enhanced cos its normally a classic n if u hv guests.. theyll be going how stunningly clear it is for such an old flick - Hvnt tried out de MM ttl yet .. hope its as good as sum of de older ttls like South Pacific , Casablanca..

BTW.. I tried out JC's MEDALLION :



VDO is gud - definitely better than my ol SD cp
ODO is a tad dissapointin cos its only in pcm 2.0 ..
But de movies funny [ especially de brit guy - forgot his name.. ] so its all gud..

I guess its inevitable.. I mean de BF ttls offered are either alrdy in my collection or dont interest me at all..
Except for a few 'oldie' ttls which aren't tat cheap either eg.. Cider House Rules which is offered at usd5 n normal discounts are at ard 7.. I tink.. to me tats hardly anytin to shout about.. heck I dont tink its worth me losing sleep over either.. u knw la de time difference n all tat..

2. I tink de HK site is forex competitive - provided de price is rite for tat ttl
3. I tink cdwow's main despatch ctr is in HK.. But I hv recvd US discs frm buying in their aussie site - if tats d case , itll take more than a wk to reach us - same time as amz.com.. wif my experience..
