Amazon UK's Lightning Deal is seriously like lightning! JP was sold out within 10 seconds. It's like they only put up 10 copies for the deal.

I clicked on the waiting list after 20 seconds , was no.344 on the list and was told that my chances of getting the deal was poor. Quite the joke.

PS: Tried out for fun as I had already bought the US version which was, and still is, going for 29.99

A tip to those who are not familiar with Amz - if the price of the item has dropped since the date you confirmed your order, you can e-mail Amz (or chat with them, as I just did) and request that they exercise their discretion to bill you for the latest price of the item.

It does not matter if the item has been shipped or has been prepared for shipping (in which cancellation of item may not be allowed).

They will still bill you for the full amount, but will issue you a rebate to your credit card for the difference later (maybe a day later).

I just did so for Jackie Brown and The Others which have dipped (albeit slightly) since I made my order. Amz CS on chat took just 5 mins to approve the rebate.

Do ask nicely though. The choice whether to allow the rebate or otherwise is entirely up to them.

Missed out on The Ten Commandments @7.99 by a minute. Sigh. Fully sold out and even waitlist is full. Didn't expect it to be that popular.
