My first batch Black Friday 2011 haul....

Order shipped: 21 November 2011 (22nd M'sia)
Shipping: Standard via iParcel
Dilepaskan Kastam: 7 December 2011
Arrived on my parkway: 10 December 2011

user posted image

Am quite surprise; knowing how iParcel works actually.... rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif  rclxms.gif

funny thing is, only The Crow has the top white sticker... the rest (except Jurassic Park boxset) don't have that... only normal shrink-wrap!  hmm.gif  a rather unusual for a US-release style...

whoa that is really fast, where u located kl??
i order mine nov 24th, arrival estimate is 20,21,23 december, soo long~~ but they did upgrade my other parcel to DHL which arrived but those are few disc only... weird, are its more efficient to send all one shot ... sad.gif

well though i support ori bd, but sometimes its hard to define ori is better, cause its just matter of different manufacturer , one pay royalty to the film industry, another don't , but i say sometimes ori sucks like tv or anime, where they can cram everthing in one disc maintaining same PQ, AQ, and sell cheaper, but they choose not to, well in this case, oem manufacture wins hahaha 1 disc whole season of series or more, hahaaa...

and in a twisted way, by buying local oem, we actually keeping our economy floating, by generating cash flowing inside our economy and not sending all oversea hahaa... still... i dont blame people buying oem, i does so too last time, but i still likes ori cause its nicer for display on rack..

You think that way because your TV is still small and your home theater system is till got room for improvement.  tongue.gif

To me, combine everything in 1 disc is worst idea. Who said TV or anime can't improve their quality?

As for generating cash flowing inside our economy, check northern korea, how is their economy performance? Import and export, to a country is all important. If only encourage ppl spend their money in their own country, is not necessary.   That sometimes mean pay more for worse quality product.  Look at our Proton.  blush.gif

Added on December 11, 2011, 3:34 pmTomorrow 1 am (our local time), Amazon UK got lightning deal for Pirates of the Caribbean 1-4 Box Set [Blu-ray]

learn to read before re-quoting, i didn't say there is no room for anime to improve ? u smoking weed kah?
import and export u talking about if u pay taxes and u buy from speedy then country's economy will be effected, not sure where u study economics, but parallel importing goods like bd is not only violating export import laws in some country its skipping taxes.

if u are such a patriot for supporting local economy u wont buy from amazon, but from speedy in the first place dude, so learn to read before judging and crapping in hostile, no one i asking u to prove anything,

ps: im using 1x 40" 3d led tv and 1x 42" plasma ,2x 24" ips monitors on my workstation, on a yamaha rxv771 7.2 system, so yeah, i think i has the right to judge about quality...

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Dec 11 2011, 04:14 PM)
Whole series or season in one disc means better for you!? Oh my God! You really a person that can't differentiate o
yeah why not, different people have different taste , i rather watch 2 season of friends in dvd resolution on a single BD than 2, if it save the cost of the deal, why i need full hd resolution for a comedy and dts master track? the movie is not funnier if u has those also, its just matter of perspective, maybe you need to consult your god again on respecting other people's point of view before judging on others.

QUOTE(fadthil @ Dec 11 2011, 11:42 PM)
yup, im at KL. mine was estimated to arrive on Dec 19-20 also. but you are lucky too they upgraded to courier, soon it'll arrive dont worry.

see, i told ya... can share what you bought, some picture perhaps?

ahh i see, thanks, yeah i have 5 total parcel 2 got upgraded too.. thanks for the heads up

How do you know speedy pay all their tax when their get their copy from other countries?  whistling.gif

I never know that there is parallel importing issue in BDs except those Studios use Region to differentiate and restrict the use of BDs. Parallal importing didn't apply to every case.  blush.gif

Since when import BD to Malaysia is skipping the tax (especially in large quantity)? If we skip the tax, then that mean our Customs Department must be not doing their job.  hmm.gif

Kindly let me know which laws I am violating when import from US.  whistling.gif  I am newbie in laws.

For 40"+ TV, how can you see the different in quality when their compress those files when their burn all episodes in one BD?

Since when patriot must buy only the local products? If this is the case, I believe Malaysia don't have many patriot loh.  doh.gif
*
yes " Parallel " importing does't not apply for everything but it does on banded or movies that's are classified deem for censoring in our country, and just because you are cheap skate and does not support our local industry by buy local produce products does not represent the whole nation are as selfish as you, if everyone thinks like you, then we'll be doomed, you are entitled to your deluded opinions not one really cares but at least show some respects for others.

40" you cant differentiate quality? you do use microscope to pixel peep at your movies ahh? thats funny, having larger than 40"s only you can tell compression ratio and quality different then u really needs to get your eyes check,

Parallel Importing Laws

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Film_Censorsh...ard_of_Malaysia
Blu-ray releases of censored films are not available in Malaysia. Such items have to be purchased from overseas and can be subject to random Custom's inspection, which will require an Application for Permit Exemption (Pemohonan Pengecualian Permit) letter to be submitted and approved.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motion_pictur...system#Malaysia
Due to piracy of music CDs and DVD/VCDs in Malaysia, all original musical works or movies on any format are required to have a hologram sticker with the words "Tulen KPDN & HEP Original". For films, a movie certification sticker by the Film Censorship Board of Malaysia (Lembaga Penapisan Filem Malaysia) bearing the signature of the director and the words "Pengerusi Lembaga Penapisan Filem Malaysia", a serial number and the films classification is required before it can be sold.
