can our BD player play region a disc?

Guys, since we are into this Black Friday thingy, perhaps we can share the answer to this question

How much do you intend to spend or the maximum amount you will be spending just for this Black Friday event - just on BDs?

For me, subjected to titles, I will probably spend around RM2,000 including shipping.

Can't wait to spend on my very first BF!

anyone have experience in downloading your Universal Digital Copies?

i tried, but it says "Sorry, but Digital Copy is not available in your region."

...?

Is it UV digital copy?

i mean Universal Studio titles...yeah, digital copy

btw, i tried entering the codes directly in Itunes US Store, surprising it works..lol..so im downloading it now

and the iTunes movies are not cheap though..USD14.99 for the 1 i'm downloading right now. hmm, i wonder who really pay for these iTunes movies....better buy BD

That is "old" type of Digital copy. The latest Digital Copy called UltraViolet Digital Copy. Although it is still Digital copy but it require user to connect to internet in order to play that UltraViolet Digital Copy and the license is only for 3 years. Their changed it to UltraViolet Digital Copy because Studios don't want to let Digital Copy attached to only iTune.

But lot of ppl complaint UltraViolet Digital Copy and it suck!

and yeah, it sucks...(require internet to play/limited 3 years license)

Certainly..no issue with Region A & Free. I'm not sure if it does pickup Region C as well..someone?

as far as im concern, all digital copy sucks...
i dont understand; you hv a legit copy yet restricted for a period of time, accessibility & playability... wtf? might as well download jack sparrow copy that plays at your own will!!

jacl sparrow copy got legal issue but Digital copy don't have ma.

That stupid ultraviolet digital copy if no.changes or improvement sure dead as fast as possible.

What a stupid need three account, valid for only three years, no compatible portable device support. Total crap!

own illegal download copy; unlimited access but legal issue... own ori digital copy; legitimate but accessibility issue.... which do we prefer?
don't get me wrong, i don't support illegal/pirated stuff but just don't agree with the unnecessary dc files that comes with ori bds... to each his own

Indifference for me. I don't use Digital Copy and Jack Sparrow discs.

Just noted Real Steel (Three-Disc Combo: Blu-ray/DVD + Digital Copy) (2011) currently status become Currently unavailable. But new version is available, Real Steel (Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo). Don't tell me their plan to cancel 3 Discs version. If there is the case, what about $5 discount for 3 Discs set?

Maybe they plan change to Disney Digital Copy As I know Disney is on working it own digital copy and abandon Apple / Windows format Digital Copy, Disney is not planning on joining Ultraviolet Digital Copy.
