do you guys experience anything like your phone shutting down when you put it in pants pocket?
Mine does this fairly often and I only put my phone in my front left pocket alone. Don't wear skinny jeans at all too. Usually happens when I go out by bike and sometimes when I leave it in the pocket when I'm driving my car |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Oct 23 2011, 09:24 PM) If the power button is pressed >10 s it either shutdown or restart. It can happen accidentally in your pocket. Also if you use a phone cover that covers the button, check if it is pressing too much on the power button or not. my case mate tough fits snugly though..but yeah, i've thought about that scenario as well so was wondering if anyone ever experienced the same occurrence. |

QUOTE(teepee @ Oct 23 2011, 10:16 PM) i had a shock during my first flash of CM7 too. stuck at bootscreen and then booted to CWM for second flash, works flawlessly after that me flashing into CM7.1 went by without a hitch..but the whole week of using 7.1 was really painful ended up flashing over to Batista70 before trying out some other rom soon |

QUOTE(iori57 @ Oct 23 2011, 10:25 PM) haha no problem.. you're the one that found those troubleshooting tips ma Wow, I had a really bad experience. Camera wasn't working, Market crashes every time, battery life was horrible! And data kept going on and off as it liked, sometimes it wouldn't even come on after i unlocked my phone (using JuiceDefender).ah? my this week of using 7.1 is never better.. so much better than stock in everything, the battery is better than when i was in stock.. other stuff not working so far i the thing i miss is the sms no full screen notification only at notification bar, have to install go sms pro.. other than that ok ah, which stuff not working for you? the only rom i would like to try in the future is batista and cognition.. you should write a review about batista cheers Batista review? I'll give it a go here Pros - Fast and smooth experience. Nothing is broken that I can tell. Boot screen is pretty Cons - Stock camera app that has limits. Lack of documentation and themes. Overall, I like this rom more than VR except for the camera |

QUOTE(iori57 @ Oct 23 2011, 11:25 PM) haha, my camera no problem at all wor, market crashes is because of a bug, the troubleshooting tips there mention the fix.. just change the language to English (US) then no more crashing liao.. wah if no market sure like hell lor coz basically cannot do anything.. data kept going on and off? maybe that's because of juice defender ler, mine never had that problem wor.. did you follow the install guide to install cyanogen ah? coz the first time i didn't follow also crash a lot of time and have all sorts of weird problems, now never crash even once haha i tried the fixes, but still the same =/ i'm not sure if it was only due to Juice Defender too.. I followed the guide to the letter and tried the fixes.. Most of them recommended switching to nightlies but it was too much trouble for an unstable rom so i jumped icic cool.. i think you are the pro battery life type yaya VR is a good rom to get started coz just like stock.. after that jump to other roms to experience new stuff Well, i'd like to get the most out of what I can, preferably a full day of use at work |

I don't know how you use but with my FLACs and some vids and plenty of pictures, I'm almost filled with about 6gb of free space combined. To each his own |

Reporting back in with battery life:
Still a bit uncertain on Batista70 but it really depends on usage. Playing games drain less battery than staying on H+ |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Oct 26 2011, 10:52 AM) All these battery widget only tells you the battery temperature. Not the cpu nor the screen. It is more accurate to stick a termostat on the screen. my bad..but at least it helps guess roughly how high it's gone I'm noticing something weird about my battery temperature: On VR I rarely hit 40 degress Celsius but on other roms, i usually go high 30s and quite often over 40s |
