nice game but still in the second half the team looks frugal and allowed Reading to control possession leading to the consolation goal...
Defoe wasted too many chances even he scores 2 but he should get at least 4 goals under his name from this game...
anyway a win is still nice and hope the team continues this form when we meet Lazio for the european match.

I believe we are still a work in progress. Yet, I have a gut feel we will do very well against Lazio this midweek. Continental teams are not as physical as EPL teams and will allow us to try this system again. I also expect Lloris to start in goal.

Ends 0 - 0 but Dempsey was denied a debut goal as he was onside but called offside. Caulker's goal looked good but was up to the official to call it.

Spurs dominated possession with no goals to show in the end.

My hands were shaking the entire 2nd half. It was a spirited performance and Bale said it best that we were resilient in defending.

History was made and I saw it! That's enough for me biggrin.gif

the criss crossing Bale and Defoe run happened in the Reading game as well when Defoe scored. it is a simple design to draw one defender away from the other.

Dawson scores at one end and then in the 2nd half, let's a striker get the better of him for the equalizer.

perhaps that's why he was to be sold off at one point.

anyways, no injuries to key players that's good.

a tale of 2 halves again but this time it was a boring 1st and a great 2nd! we were more lively and had several excellent chances in the 2nd.

Brad looked like the ultimate pro and was shown smiling and laughing on the bench.

The England Poland match has been postponed to today and this is not good for our boys there. We have an early kick off on Saturday and they need all the rest they can get.

For selfish reasons, I hope Defoe doesn't start and Lennon and Walker do not play the entire match.

I didn't watch the match but I know we were not at full strength. I understand tactics were poor when leading at 2-1, we seem to be sitting back and letting them attack.

Hope AVB learns from this. Move forwards!

COYS!!!

very tough to see Spurs playing like this. i wonder why we don't start with 2 upfront at home against opponents like Wigan.

anyways, we are missing a playmaker and Dembele's absence is clearly felt.

Need some feedback from spurs supporters regarding the fit of the under armor home jersey. How is the fitting compared to Nike's of the same size?
*
not sure about Nike jersey's but i know that UA's kit is slightly smaller and tighter in fit compared to last season's Puma.

i hope AVB realizes that sometimes 4-4-2 will work. Bale made incisive runs on the left wing and 2 goals came from his crosses from there to Defoe in the middle.

Thats sad ..I think he know how shitty is avb so he go away
See what he did to chelsea old players and hugo lloris but friedel quite good too so its hard

But why did spurs get avb in the 1st place..he not good at all at chelsea yet spurs want him..

Why did harry resign out of sudden ..lol im sure he is not sacked he did a great job at spurs..
*
'arry was probably asked to leave by the chairman for losing 3rd place. he definitely took his eye off Spurs as he honestly thought he would get the England job (check back our form from last February when Capello left).

letting modric go without a capable playmaker replacement is costing us. Dembele is not an exact replacement but does an ok job so we really need him to get healthy and fit soon.

Going down to 10 men was our undoing. Ade is to blame for this match, not AVB.

back to winning ways for us tonight. JD first goal was an amazing strike while making space to shoot with so many players around him.

bale's goal was made by a sublime pass from Dempsey. and the 3rd goal was an unselfish assist from Lennon to Defoe to score.

Lloris did well and the goal was a communication failure between him and Caulker I think. Other than that, he commanded his area well and releases us to counter attack quickly.
