Does anyone know any shops around KL that sell big, or massive tempayans/water vases/rain jars/pots/urns that I can use to bury to make small ponds?

Preferably ones you know that are the biggest you've ever seen.

A relatively good compromise, but I'd like to find ceramic containers first.

Yeah, i've been to a few nurseries (but not for the vases) before. But wanna expand my options.

I already plan a bigger hole around the vases so as not to have compressed earth acting on the ceramic walls, plus it will be in close proximity to each other, which should reduce a singular compressive packing of earth on an urn. And not burying them up fully to the rim of the clay urns should help in reducing cracking potential by downward compressive force from packed earth (despite the fact that it would be relatively shallow from the curved edge of any urn rim to the soil above). Even as the earth around the vases settle, I don't think there will be much force acting on the walls, if I get the correct sizes (too deep and thin walls; and it will crack in months or years).

Added on October 21, 2011, 7:20 pmI still can't get it out of my system of not using fibre-glass, PE or plastic water containers for this project. Maybe environmentally conscious? Heck, clay pots aren't really 'bio-degradable' but if you do shatter and grind them enough it really is soil in the end (though digging up the hole, and still finding old pot shards (and plastic whiskers from those plastic brush brooms) brings it to perspective).

Oh. And I forgot. I think I also prefer the look of a clay wall as opposed to any plastics.
