You don't have to worry, the Mario franchise is going strong. Furthermore Mario Kart 7 is one of the best selling 3DS game. So yea, there are definitely still people playing. But 3DS users in Malaysia is not that much, worst case scenario if you can't find someone locally, just connect to Wi-Fi and you'll be perfectly fine. Cheers
