i tot of customizing my desktop.. WITH ANIMATIONS biggrin.gif

any desktop customization software that allows interactive animations? OR i shud ask is this even possible?
i tried non-interactive, static animation. i wanna try interactive, looping animations. blink.gif

example,
there's a button on the desktop(software shortcuts), i click > animated expansion of the category (and animation looping)
it's kinda like flash object on websites, but i wanna do it on desktop.

might sounds confusing, but u get the idea (i hope rclxub.gif ).

sorry, wasn't able to online until now. (home no line and office internet keep dc -.-)

@lanc3, wad i mean is it's like those flash websites, hover mouse over then change appearance, click something then animate, or something like that. and thanks for the software suggestions, i'll take a look.

@foto, well, i'll take that into research then, i dun really like pre-built launchers. i wan make ma own ones xD

to make things clear,
i want my desktop to looked like some flash websites. i dun really mind about the massive coding or not, just wanna know if it's possible to make this happen.

It's kinda possible.. since few month ago I'm trying to create one using Flash, with some help from 3rd party compiler to create Flash exe that can communicate with OS and 3rd party app to pin it to desktop..

I don't spend much time with this experiment so nothing much to see.. but here's some basic preview.. inspired by Starcraft 2 menu..

flash might settle down your problem then...but rainmeter might really suit if you really want to learn the coding thing biggrin.gif
change or animate while hover down over the button/thing... smile.gif
getting start by take a look at the other skin...or freshly from here for the code
as there's only several skin which fully use the rainmeter feature..
serious coding might also led you into this windows style builder brows.gif

Rainmeter is good place to start, you can download some interactive theme to go along with it... simple and easy and if you wanted to customize the theme, it's as easy as editing it with notepad. Moreover as you get used to it, you can even create your own theme.

From your example, what you looking for is not something as simple as just normal animated desktop background.

you have to learn to create those or most likely you gonna pay to get what you want by getting those flexibility to make those animation.

Flash object on website can be easily changed, edit, etc, since you just need to upload the source, but making that on desktop, seem you gonna write specific code on all over the desktop.

i still remember last time windows vista had this function..you can set animated wallpaper on your desktop..you can even put customized clip..but I dun think so windows 7 and 8 have that function anymore..it takes up the RAM and slows down the pc..
