first transformer already got 3G, just malaysia don't have. At taiwan already selling.

i feel 3g not really necessary as can always use your android phone as wireless hotspot. this is what i did with my galaxy tab and even ipad2 ( though it is 3g model)

how many people will always copy 1080 file to watch in the tab? perhaps one time happy only.

if ur tv big and u sit not far... u will notice the picture less sharp on 720p (but this also only apply if ur tv is full hd), 1080p on the other hand will be more sharp becoz of the more pixel it has in it to fill out the 1080p TV of urs..... 720p u will have less pixel to fill a 1080p tv hence less sharp.

Well, much of the media I watch will be from home. Perhaps I can just stream the original 720p files (of those series) directly via wifi. For example a typical Big Bang Theory file:

I saw ASUS Transformer Prime Test with WiFi Analyzer & Tour of my House Linus Tech Tips today where they test wifi. He talks about streaming media from home...this would solve most of my problems, as I don't mind downloading some special media for when I go on trips and such.

About the resulution and differences between 720p and 1080p and such; all of my friends don't give a rats ass about the crisp quality. They are amazed of course of how crisp it is, but if I ask them (or even my wife) if they see difference they all say no.

Shitty that Asus Msia still hasn't released any genuine information about release date and price...

but US selling price is so much cheaper than sgp set??? hopefully msia set will not have that high sky price.. i was expecting  rm2.1k-2.3k with dock which compare to rm1.8k of transformer 1.. but now..

agree with you...spent 2.7k for tab but losing GPS + no 3G is too expensive.. i rather wait for other and see if it will drop price by that time too.. how come so big different between US price and SGP price..  2.7k can get me a very good spec of notebook even.. and need extra to spent for accessories again like casing and sp.. nearly 3k after that.. 

So far the estimated price that I've heard from shops selling Asus is about RM2099. One forummer is selling for RM2199 in this forum as well. So I guess it won't be as high as Sgp price lo....
Any of you confirmed getting it? I've been waiting for it for so long and have even sold my iPad about a month ago anticipating this release.... So yeah I guess I'm almost sure to buy it.

We have to accept it has poor wi-fi and GPS, it sucks I know.
But hey, it's the most powerful android tablet to date!

This prime is so much smoother to navigate and use compared to the transformer. I played a few 1080p videos from Youtube and see no lag at all. The screen is bright and clear, and yeah the super IPS mode for outdoor viewing.

And of course it is lighter and sexier too. 

even there is no issue with gps,i wont use mobile device(phone,tablet) as main gps for car as i feel they not reliable enough compare to standalone gps device..as long as google maps working then is fine

According to folks at netbooknews, who were present at this press briefing, Asus will be launching a seven inch tablet as well as high res 10.1 model at CES next week. This high-res 10.1 model lines up perfectly with leaked Eee Pad TF202 about which we reported earlier today. This Transformer Prime variant was spotted at a benchmarking website and is supposed to feature 1920X1200p display and 1.5GHz dual core processor instead of Tegra 3 in OG Prime.
