Help needed pls!!!

Hi, I just bought Kindle 3 recently. I've read from the lowyat forum about how to register and buying books from Amazon - all the steps including the VPN and using US address when registering and all those steps make me feel comfortable to invest RM500+ on a Kindle. Well, I done all the necessary steps but I still get an error saying I'm trying to purchase an item that's not available in the country listed on my amazon account. I tried many many times but I still get the same error. I even got an email from Amazon requesting my identification number, driving license and etc. Now, I'm really forced to a trapped door where I couldn't enjoy my Kindle after paying so much for it. So I was wondering if anyone of you could help me or have encountered this problem before. Any advise is appreciated and I will be forever grateful to people who could solve this problem of mine.

How did they know you're in Malaysia and not in the US? Did you always used the VPN? Were you using a Malaysian credit card number?

Hi, I'm not sure about that either. I turned on hotspotfield whenever I'm using the Amazon website but everytime I click to buy an ebook, the error appeared. I thought the hotspotfield doesn't work but I tried the hulu(US) website and also the Fox.com, eventually I was able to view the videos(that are restricted only to US residents) so I'm guessing the hotspotfield does work after all. Or perhaps, the hotspotfield works on hulu and also fox.com but not on amazon? I haven't tried other website about the VPN though. And nope, I'm not using Malaysian credit card. I'm a student so all I want is just the free ebook that I could dl anytime I want. I just use the VPN recently because I read some tips about it on lowyat forum and also on the internet but it just doesn't work for me. I checked the hotspotfield and it was connected though.
