how to mod the boot gas strut in a way that it will allow shutting of the boot lid nicely rather than slamming shut????? i have handled cars with boot lid struts and bigger sized boot lids and it does not SLAMMMMMMM like how Persona's do.

and btw, to those who do mods to their Persona engine like exhaust or especially air intake to aftermarket, please be advised to "refresh" / "reset" your ECU by unplugging the battery and leave it disconnected for half an hour or more and plug it back in.

i myself first hand experienced it this month. I replaced the intake to aftermarket panel filter by Simota / Works Engineering and i did not really felt the difference. Soon, my car got more and more less responsive, less power and the automatic gearbox got very sluggish. My fuel consumption got from bad to worst. I then wondered what happened to it and tried to think of the possible causes.

I then figured, ok try "reset" the ecu by unplugging the battery terminal. Plugged it back more than an hour later, guess what? I got my car back! Now, i can just "tap" on the throttle to get moving and the car is light again. I got back the all the performance.

So........lesson learn!

yup. it does not need to be slammed. I am referring to as in you cannot close the boot lid without assisting it. meaning when its close to closing, need to hold it a bit and let go. Or else it will go banggggg!

Kinda suck if compared to other exact design boot lid with gas struts. Other makes i can just continue pushing the lid down from start to finish and it wont slam.

nolah! just don't go slam is good enough.

yes, lesson learn. tht time when i got aftermarket extractor installed, there was no obvious changes like what i experienced with aftermarket air filters. but i guess what ever mods you have done, as long as its not factory fitted and its performance oriented, must do a reset!

i din reset oh. How? I din know that and i am using 16bit ecu. So if i reset now still ok ar? I mod exhaust for > 4 months d.

btw guys did you all know this things? Honda City 1996 got installed. This is to prevent your brake to jam lock if you floor your brake.

my foreman said can mod to the master brake servo and no need other wiring system oh? Is that true?

Usually you don't need to add coolant unless you're flushing out the radiator because the coolant is still inside but more concentrated when the water is dehydrated. So just adding back the water level is enough. Changing coolant or adding is usually done when radiator leak and after repatch, you need to add the coolent back to its original concentration.

That system usually apply to those expansive car.. If proton I cannot say 100% follow that system later dunno the where come out secret hole to leak out the coolant

More also will become worse because coolant is used to lube, higher boiling point and lower freezing point. water is there for the high rate of heat transferred which is around 4.2kJ to raise 1c per kg. Just like if u use pure coolant, your engine will have hard time transferring heat to radiator, pure water will cause inner corrosion and maybe long time, pump damage. Its best to follow the coolant spec which usually in every bottle they got state how many ratio of coolant:water needed to ensure cooling system efficiency.

Maybe he will flush out the radiator 1st before adding coolant with water la.
Me no coolant man Just some info passed onto me and I sharing now.
Actually the best combination is battery water+ coolant for maximum efficiency because mostly battery water is distilled water unless some special ones got their own trademark chemical in it la. Distilled water is better because if ordinary water there's minerals in it which like I say earlier might cause corrosion in the radiator or change the properties by a bit bit la
.
