Hi all, I m not here to spoil your business. But you should have let your customer knew about the side effects of using this thing you are selling. Its not tat safe and there are people who have died using this thing. You guys can google the news in Yahoo for further information.
H, thanks for your post

, indeed Jala nei represents the most natural way and there are no side effect, i can share the news over here and explain why.
The reason that caused death

(i think they still investigate the real cause) is they use tap water, in my instruction here, i mentioned to use lukewarm water, indeed, after purchase, i wl give a detail instruction to them and guide them how to use "PROPERLY". I see so many people sinuses heal with jala neti, so there is a need to educate the public to use it correctly
Second Neti-Pot Death From Amoeba Prompts Tap-Water WarningMay be i less active in lowyat, but in another Chinese forum, lot of ppl are asking me different question about neti pot, one of them asked if can use tap water. then i immediatly reply "NO", the reason why i post is i really wish i can help to educate and guide people how to use neti pot properly. I have Complementary Health Education Diploma in Yoga Teaching (C.H.Ed Dip Yoga), so i really wish to share this ancient yogi wisdom to the public
Again, really appreciate your highlights, indeed, i hv prepare this Q&A for jala neti for long, but i share in my website & facebook page only..anyway, should any one has any problem in jala neti pls do not hesitate to leave a question here

, wl revert
Q : Is everyone suitable to do jala neti?
Yes but for those who has a bad cold or easy bleeding of the nose, this practice should be avoided.
Q :I have a healthy nose, so I don’t have to do jala neti, right?
Basically, cleansing our nostrils daily is equally important as brushing our teeth, washing our face and taking a bath. It just most of us overlook this as we can’t really see what is inside our nostrils now. Especially we are living now in in a dusty or polluted environment. Prevention is better than cure, so, we should include jala neti in our daily routine.
P/S : Btw, it is important as well for us to clean our tongue everyday
Q: Can I use tap water?
A : Please use lukewarm water. Pls do not use Tap water to do jala neti. Tap water contains chemicals like chlorine and fluorine which can serve to further irritate already inflamed nasal passages, this may cause infection and negative effect.
Q : Can I share my neti pot with others?
Due to hygiene purpose, please do not share your neti pot with others, this is same as we will not share our toothbrush with others.
Q : Can i use normal home usage table salt for jala neti?
A : We do not recommend this, please avoid home usual table salt or any chemical salt which often contains additives that may irritate the mucus membranes in your nose. Please do use natural sea salt, the best is organic salt. You can easily in any organic shop.
Q : I been pratising jala neti at night before shower. Yes, my nostrils are much clearer and refresh after use neti pot, but i experience some “flu” symptons after use it. Despite this symptoms go away in the next day.
A : One of the possibilities is the water still remaining in the nostrils which caused “flu”. It is essential to keep the nose “dry” after the practice. Failure to dry the nose properly may manifest the symptoms of a cold for several hours, or leaving dirty water in the sinus passages or Eustachian tubes may result in infection!
You can perform below exercise to dry the nose.
a) Gently Bend forward from the hips and hang the head upside down with the nose pointing down the floor, this will so any residual water drains from the nose. Gently breathe in through the mouth and out from nose about 10 times. *

b) Then return to upright position to do some rapid breathing (gentle, not too hard) through the nostrils.

(i) First start by closing one nostril with finger, breathe in through the mouth and gently out gently through the open nostril for 10 times. Repeat in another side.
(ii) Then try rapid breathing through both nostrils together, This should remove any remaining water and loosen mucus from the nasal passages. If it feels as if there is still some water in there, repeat the drying process again.
*People with high blood pressure should be careful, if dizziness results when in head down position, just do (2) with the standing upright position.
Added on February 12, 2012, 10:43 pm8 Simple Ways to Detox Your Body
By Ysolt Usigan

a) CUT YOUR SUGAR INTAKE
A seasonal detox is an effective way to clear your body of toxins, which will also speed up your metabolism and enhance your overall health. Start by decreasing the amount of sugar you consume, says Matt Dower, spa director at Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Skaneateles, NY. and that includes honey, molasses, and artificial sweeteners.
“If you eat more sugar, you ask your body for more insulin, straining your pancreas and wearing yourself out,” he says. “In the long term, this kind of habit can cause you to become chronically fatigued, diabetic, develop cancer, and pack on excess weight.”
b) START WITH WATER
Dower also suggests you drink a tall glass of water with juice from half of a lemon in the morning. “Lemon helps re-hydrate the system and promotes digestion, which will help the flow of waste out of your body,” he says.
c) MOVE YOUR BODY
Regular exercise encourages circulation in the blood and lymph system, Dower says. Doing so will also enhance digestion, reduce tension, lubricate joints, and strengthen your body. It’s a proven fact. “People who exercise regularly have far fewer total toxins in their systems,” he points out.
d) DRINK A LOT OF TEA
“Not only is tea full of antioxidants, it hydrates you (especially if it’s herbal) and fills you up,” says Ashley Karr, a research psychologist and wellness coach. “This means you will be less likely to overeat or eat the wrong things!” Keep in mind, the caffeine in tea is different than the caffeine in coffee—it’s gentler on your system. It’ll also give you a pick-me-up minus the jitters.
e) EAT ORGANIC
Chad Sarno, research and development chef for Whole Foods’ Health Starts Here initiative suggests you reconfigure your diet this year. “A colorful variety of fruits and veggies should be the main focus of your diet, along with whole grains, beans and legumes, and small amounts of nuts and seeds,” he says.
You should eat whole plant foods because processed foods lack the nutrients your body needs. Dark green vegetables, for instance, are full of micronutrients and are very low in calories, so you can eat a lot of them.
f) COMBAT ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTANTS
Don’t forget that pollution and allergens are all around you. They’re in the air and can trigger allergy symptoms (such as yucky, puffy, red eyes). Dr. Travis Stork, host of daytime talk show The Doctors advises you flush your nasal passages regularly with a Neti Pot. Doing so can eliminate the side effects of air pollutants and lead to better breathing naturally. If you use the Neti Pot before bed, even better—it will enhance your sleep.
g) SWEAT IT OUT IN A SAUNA
Forbes Riley, creator of fitness product SpinGym who you may also remember co-hosting Jack LaLanne’s juicer infomercial, is a big fan of detoxing. It’s how she lost her pregnancy weight gain at the age of 42 after giving birth to twins. She suggests you use a sauna regularly. “There’s nothing more detoxing than sweating it out,” she says.
h) EXFOLIATE
“Skin brushing and oil massages will help exfoliate the toxins from your skin and refresh circulation,” says Christina Chodos, a certified health counselor and educator from Chicago, IL.
One of the questions i always received is "Is the water goes to Sinus cavity, or should we tilt slightly backward to allow the water to wash the sinus cavities, if not how Jala neti works for sinusitis ?

From Yoga perspective, the basic level 1 jala neti which we have shared here is water runs through from one nostril to the other. Perhaps, before we answer this question, let's have a look of the anatomy of Sinuses
Sinuses are paired air cavities/spaces (pockets) found in the cranial (head) bones. Sinuses are also referred to as "paranasal sinuses". They are connected to the nose on the facial part of the skull where air passes and mucus drains.
We have four paired sinus cavities. Each sinus cavity has an opening (ostium), which opens into the nasal passages for free exchange of air and mucus. The mucus linings have ciliated epithelium (cells with fines hairs) that moves dirty mucus from the sinus cavities which drains into the nasal passages.
Our actual nasal sinus cavities are dead end passages, cul-de-sacs, cave with only one entrance
It is an empty cavity filled with air, they were not designed to have water in them, to get water in the actual sinus cavities (i.e the dead end caves) is very uncomfortable.
How Jala neti work then? The water runs past the sinus cave entrances, drawing out by a venture effect the mucus and germs which may be in there. The effects of the warm salty water passing by are : to thin out any thick germ-laden mucus so as to leave the cave in a runny stream, and to attract if the water has rinsed through them like tunnel.*
So, in recap, , when praticising jala neti, due to gravity and a venturi effect, the flow of water creates a low pressure zone across the sinuses, which drain the sinuses by thinning the mucus and draw out deeper dirts that building up and clogging the “ostia” (sinus openings) which cause of sinus congestion.
Another way jala neti works is it improve the function of cilia (tiny nasal hair) by increasing cilia frequency and improve the cilia “waving action” to remove mucus, dust, allergen and other irritants from the nasal mucosa effectively

Someone asked me again last week about using tap water to do jala neti, as i keep stressing "NO TAP WATER" is allowed to be used to clean our nostrils. Indeed Tap water contains chemicals like chlorine and fluorine which can serve to further irritate already inflamed nasal passages, this may cause infection and negative effect.
There were last years new where 2 death because who was suscpected to use tap water to do jala neti, so please please please do remember use lukewarm water (boiled) to do your jala neti
