Just to update from my experience in Feb/Mar 2022. May be helpful to people in the future.

Did 2 puspakom inspections.

First plan to sell my car and keep the number (put on new car)

Then change of plans...family want to keep car, so just going to transfer to family member's name. Hence the 2nd visit to puspakom.

First was Pemeriksaan Khas (Pemindahan Nombor Pendaftaran). Laporan B2
Valid for 1 Month ONLY from date of inspection.
Paid RM 30.21

Second time was Pemeriksaan Tukar Milik. Laporan B5.
Valid for 2 Months Only from date of inspection.
Paid RM 35.51

Just to note.

Plan to go UTC JPJ to transfer ownership this coming week, and settle insurance cancellation under my name, and new insurance under new owner (family member) name... and road tax.

Update 16/3/2022

So on 14/3/2022 i login to my mysikap account which i had already since 2018 when i used it to buy car number plate or some other reason. I did my part as seller all online. No thumbprint needed. No forms needed. Just click buttons.

As buyer (my dad) he does not have mysikap account, so he needs to go to JPJ to complete his part.

On 15/3/2022, i went with my dad to JPJ UTC Shah Alam (i highly recommend going here instead of JPJ, we were in and out in 10mins)

Filled in a form, took the form to the counter, JPJ Officer keyed in the details and my dad gave his MyKad, did thumbprint, paid RM100 fee thru Card (strictly no cash), got new VOC printed in his name and we were out of there.

She didnt even ask anything about Insurance or RoadTax, which i found peculiar. But anyways i headed to my insurance branch after to cancel the policy in my name and bought new policy in my dad's name.

Some confusion over the Road tax and all, apparently i can cancel it and claim back from JPJ, then hopefully my dad can get new Road tax which runs concurrently with his new insurance date, instead of the dates being mismatched.. will be trying to do this when i have the time..

Hello regarding the seller part on mysikap, I need to activate it at JPJ counter? I tried to click on the function it seems that it has been blurred out.

Yeah you need to go jpj and register for access to the advanced account type

Hello, I had just done the current owner part on mysikap. What does the new owner require to bring for the remaining process at jpj? (new owner doesn't have mysikap account)
*
Only his IC and card to make payment (the UTC JPJ i went to only accepted card payments)
