I was told that the top plastic panel (board) behind was loose. I am a bit skeptical (if you have heard my mp3 recording) that it was the cause of the knocking but things can have a funny way of happening I guess. I am so glad it is solved.

Hi, i am having this knocking sound coming from the front right area of the dashboard. My ride is a Mazda 3 2.0 sedan. Problem started about a month after I got my car. Hard for me to localise the cause and origin of the sound, sent to SC along federal highway , they can't seem to pinpoint the problem. Anyone can recommend a good sc that will be able to rectify this problem? Around klang valley area...

Attached is the link of the recording

Super pissed with the built quality , but handling still top notch

Thanks for any help offered by fellow Mazda 3 owners

Cheers

I also have the same problem.... Have went to service centre twice but they still can figure out the cause of the rattling sound.... for my car, it came from right side of the steering wheel.... it really annoying so everytime i covered it by playing the music loudly....

Same here, use to turn up the speaker volume cool.gif to drown the rattler. Feels like small knives piercing the heart multiple times each time the rattling occurs cry.gif

Thanks akasya for the heads up notworthy.gif , will try another sc to get this sorted out, hopefully this time around they are able to fix it

Cheers guys
