i asked about mazda 3 and they said no news.. not even facelift.

haha, steering lock benefit = can use it as a self defense weapon during emergency haha

but ask urself, first 3 months, maybe will feel like locking

but after tat sure lazy to lock

secondly, its bulky, where to keep?

third , a good steering lock can cost u easily up to 3xx 

extra steps to do before can start engine and go..
if any of u purchased the brake lock..remember to lock ur door lock as soon as u're in the car then only unlock ur brake lock ^^

Hi everyone!

Just got my Mazda today. I must say it's one solid car

Been driving the car the whole day here and there (around 150km). So far so good. Power for the car is ok to me. Not to say pickup really fast but decent. The auto wiper don't really work when it was raining just now. It was drizzling. I waited for the sensor to detect the rain until I can't see anything but still nothing happen. Maybe there's setting I need to do.

Car came with standard alarm (I don't think original has one). Tried winding down the window and lock the car then tried open from inside. Alarm triggered then I put in my key to start the car while the alarm is still activate. Car start like normal. Haih..So alarm is lousy one for sure. I like the key but I think it's OEM. I think it came with the alarm. Key very flimsy.

Car also came with CASKA (free when bought the car). Must say the screen is big and awesome but gps really like crap lar. Slow nak mampos! Other than that is all good. iPod play like a charm. Haven't tried the DVD yet Also installed the reverse camera. Quiet pening also to look at the camera while reversing my car but it does help to look anything that is not visible from your view mirror. I guess have to get use to it.

Speaker that came in the car also not bad. I'm quiet happy about it (no need to spend more money on speaker).

Fuel consumtion are ok at the moment. Pump full tank using shell RON95. Been driving 150km already and so far only 3 bar used from the meter. Can't say much at because haven't reach 1k yet.

Taking corners with the car seems steady. I enjoy dong it maybe because I've been driving Honda city before. My city also damn tua already

I feel that Mazda don't have many compartment at driver's side. My city before got more. Got place to keep coins and others but the main compartment at passenger's side is quiet deep. Can keep laptop! (don't think so!)

I love the small tiny details Mazda 3 has especially at night when I went in my car. Put the key in and start and there's this small blue led light above (at the top light in front) that focus on the gear area. Surrounding area was quiet dark so when I start my car and I can see my gear box area. Damn cool lah! not forgetting at the side door also got small blue LED.

Steering wheel has a lots of button. Look quiet cool but problem is when I turn steering to more than 360 then I sometimes accidentally tertekan other button. Nothing serious just some small thought on it.

Overall I must say I love my baby. not because I own it now and being bias but it is a damn bloody good car with gorgeous sexy looking body. Still in average I don't see that much of Mazda 3 compare to others on the road. Kinda make me feel special a bit. Today i bump into few other Mazda 3. I notice them and I'm sure the other driver also notice me but I guess we all know for sure the feeling of riding the car. I don't know how to explain it but for sure all Mazdarian here know what I'm talking about.

I dunno about your car bro. What I read from other forum they said they don't have and some don't even know if they have alarm or not.

Yesterday I test with my window all down. Then I press the lock button. Put my hand in and open the door from inside. The alarm triggered. So I just leave it like that and go inside to try to start the car. The car can start! Haha...then from there I know it's a 'chikai' alarm. I don't know if my car has immobilizer or not. The alarm I have right now is just to scare the thief off only which is unlikely because nowadays people also don't bother if your alarm bunyi. All they say back to you is "Shut the **** up!". Haha.

If you have money get the one with GPS like cobra or viper startsmart. They cost a bomb but worth it.

I think price range should be around RM3k++ retail...you can try ask bro Jim Tan for price. He might know the price better.

Went to two Mazda dealer today and being told no more CBU unit onlty CKD . It this true ? Anyone still managed to get CBU unit ?

I got it for RM1600. I Didn't nego with him but I'm sure he can lower the price (if you know how to talk). I wanted to get alarm but still searching what is good in market with my tight budget. Good security like Viper cost like a bomb. The guy PETER at where I install the tint yesterday told me to save my money and not to get any alarm as he told me usually people don't steal Mazda. I was like "I don't know if I should take what you say as compliment or not". He said you want peace of mind then you install lah....

Haiyaaaa...I don't know now.......dilemma d 
By the way my mileage now at 400km. Going to 1K soon. I'm thinking of changing the engine oil even-though I can change at 10K mileage but no clue which/what brand to go. Want to get FULLY SYNTHETIC.

I was planning to get one also when i just got my car but it's a bit pricey...RM2k++ close to RM3k...would be nice to have one. I'm sticking to my current fabric at the moment until cannot use then maybe change it in the future. The current fabric is good for me now. Quiet comfortable

Should spend your money at tint and probably car security first if I may suggest. Putting leather now not that necessary yet

just got my m3 today (aluminum - 1.6 sedan). thanks to bro jim for special delivery.

Just a rough look at the 1st post, it seems like majority opt for 2.0 variant.

I suppose I need to go to showroom to really see the difference in terms of spec and interior wise between the 1.6 and 2.0. I am more interested in sedan, upgrading from my current Myvi.

where do u guys do your major service? whats the price for it? 

Bro are planning to get the autofoam for your ride? Or you already did?!!

I'm thinking to put one too in my car but still have doubts    it's like one time off.

I think my Mazda 2.0hb is under power. I don't want to judge the performance yet as my mileage is only 1.8k km.(maybe have to wait until 10k only can feel the power) Just change to fully syntatik for my first 1k service. Also I want to remind all brother and sister here who service their Mazda at bermaz (federal highway) to check your car during the inspection time as I had bad experience there with them. I top up money to use the fully syntatik since they claim they only use semi  but during the service time I didn't go and see if they really use full or semi. Once the minyak is in your engine there's no way to tell the difference between those two but maybe car expert in minyak Hitam can tell lah.

So i asked the guy (muhamed hafiz) how to tell the difference then he ask me to touch the minyak. He brought in semi and full leftover. He said if full the minyak will feel very licin but for semi rasa kasar (rough) skit. Honestly I can't tell lah since I'm not expert. So please do go n see when they pour the minyak in the next time u go service.

I told the guy that I'm not very convience and quiet unhappy with it. Then he said to me. "if abang nak complain pegilahh!!...wahhh!!!! This I call legend lah this guys. I just took my key and walk away car and ciow!. Very disappointed lah with them

Here is the big question.... i am supposed to get 6MIL tint as advised by the SA... and I believe this will be installed in GS... The only concern is the brand that they are offering... It is branded as JP... I have not heard it before but the cost is RM1800... If the brand sucks... then I would rather use about the same amouont of money and pay for 3M or Llumar...

Hi guys... If I add the Auto Brake Trigger Lock (since the M3 2.0 does not come with it)... would it void the warranty? Does it make a difference if I do it in GS or not???

Finally... got my M3 2.0... Aluminium last Thursday.... Now I can go zoom zoom... wooohoooo... no regrets....
