What brand of the HDD ?

Try download the Utility from the manufacturer's website, something like SeaTools, MaxBlast etc.

Bootable disc, run the "Zero Fill" function, should solve your problems.

Note: Takes lots of time, ensure sufficient power or power isn't interupted during the process.

here's the thing that i couldn't do with my hard disk.
1.Attempting to install another operating system.
2.Attempting to fdisk the hard drive
3.Installing software.

the ubuntu is corrupted, so i couldn't even boot into it. before the harddisk had a problem i accidentally deleted ubuntu files on the hard disk.there's window vista installed on the hard drive. everytime i boot window vista , it will automatically do the chkdisk, and its endless chkdisk progress.

its like the hard disk is frozen or locked.

couldn't do much on the hard disk , but i still can access the hard disk with limited function.
couldn't delete, install, nor format.
I've been googling everywhere but non solution found, but i found this
http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000355.htm
its the exact problem I'm facing, but the unlock command didn't work,

as i remember i didn't set any password on the hard drive.

Ok here's the list of software that i tried to format this stupid hard disk but failed.

KillDisk (Error On Locking Drive)
All kind Partition Manager (Error On Locking Drive)
DBan boot and Nuke (Crash)
Window Disk Management (Window Unable to format this drive)
Fdisk (Failed)
Format Using Window 7/Window xp/Window Vista ( Some random error will PoP out)

Please help me out.

What brand of HDD you're using ?

As already mentioned, download the utility from manufacturer's website & use the "Zero Fill" utility, download the bootable version.

The utility is mainly DOS (or similar) thus doesn't rely on your windows, "Zero Fill" utility function as filling your entire HDD with "0" bit thus making it back to factory default (RAW format).

It does takes a lot of time, but doing so will also destroy any data inside it.

Just a suggestion, reinstall Ubuntu, select full format, right after the format, cut power, see if u can install other so after that, and sure, with full format again.
