simota chepaer alot than knn
knn too exp
*
it is cheaper
cuz simota = made in taiwan
knn = made in USA...so quality is better for knn which is why more expensive

Filtration quality?

Dun wanna cause unnecesary wear on the engine for minor performance and FC gain.
*
not sure...as far as i know..pretty much the same
KnN can last longer be4 need wash....if not wrong 40-50k KM
simota is every 20k
so "maybe" filtration for KnN is better

QUOTE(pocketcctv @ Nov 2 2011, 01:18 PM)
Dear Owners,

I'm one of the SAGA BLM Owner here and would like to seek for advice on my current scenario.

The car starts to make lots of noise when travelling on bumpy road. It seems to be coming from outside somewhere near the front wheels area. Whenever the car goes through bumpy places - there will be sounds like things are falling apart or something jiggling inside the wheels area.

Would it be the absorber / suspension / or the front rack that controls the wheels. Feedback is welcome here before I proceed on to the mechanic to give it a check.

Thank you. smile.gif
*
it's the absorber...

Spoiled absorber ? .. How much would it cost for a pair ?
My driving cycle every single day will have to go through bumps and uphill / downhill slope.
*
cost...it depends what brand u want

u better change it fast b4 bcome like mine, when i delayed the replacement, the prob later makan my lower arm bushing... makes the repair even more expensive...

i changed mine RM750 for all 4 including spring... for both absorber only shud be around 200+ only... use aftermarket brand like GAB SA series.. stock height (non-lowered)...
*

good。。。

i am also wanna try liqui moly 10w-40 for next service, post some opinions after u poured it into your engine..

i think price is rm118..around that..

Added on November 7, 2011, 5:33 pm
one bottle is enough?

can i use those from Amsoil which can be found in automotive garage..not sure if compatible o not。。
*
sure...RM118 is west malaysia price
everything is more expensive here....haha...if found i will use
and will report it back
i heard its good as well...it's either this or pennzoil
cuz this is last service be4 80k...need to pour some good thing into it cuz planning to do cleaning on 80k on the engine(all in 1 go)

for the steering oil...i think 1 bottle enough la
and i think can use any oil(ask expert)....i think it just need oil(any ATF) cuz it doesn't run anything at all...no machinery

ya..most of the users said the engine sound is a bit silent..not sure if it is true...

i see..cleaning? flush engine? wash TB?

for the steering oil, do we need to flush it? i see...then the normal ATF is ok d..
*
ya...i'll see
something like flush engine...but engine flush very strong..am not using those
dn't touch what we dn't know abt..haha
am trying a much safer way
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1630331&hl=
this melts it instead of clean...and recommend to drive after pour be4 service(engine flush cannot drive)...and it's safer
got good reviews and it's affordable...2 bottle only RM85/RM100(postage)

for steering oil....never changed be4...ever...my dad's 200k+ KM waja also never changed be4
so no comments...haha...ask expert
i think no need to changed la...no improvement also...just topup...i dn't think it will decreased also...haha..still at max

haha..i see..i still not really know about the primer set, last time i bring my car to him to do the carbon cleaning using the Threebond carbon cleaner..and now i am thinking to buy liqui moly from him..u try the primer set and also remember to let us know the effects, i also wondering if this is good..

last time after done the Threebond carbon cleaning, the RPM shooted to 1.4rpm even thought at idling..after few days only normal back..

about the steering oil, cos mine one is like black colour already, damn dirty.... shocking.gif
*
ic...u buy 1st la..haha
imma have to wait till near 80k thn only buy from him
i think it will work since 80k or more only change oil only..inside sure very dirty
how abt yours?...the carbon cleaner...works?

the steering oil..i think all ours are black....not sure need to change or not...mine also black..never open the cap be4
my dad's 8 years car 8 years never change also...so no experience on this

erm..i still got another 1.5k to reach my next service interval..bt definitely i will try that liqui moly..see if it is good like what other lyn user said..

the carbon cleaner..erm..after cleaned it, the accelerator is lighter, and easy to rev, but after few days..cant feel big different anymore..

last time the proton SC told me before it needed to be changed, and they said is rM130++ for flush and change.. =.=

so i decided not to change first.. shakehead.gif
*
RM130...expensive.....almost the same price as changing ATF(4L)..haha
and for the engine oil...they say is the MOS2...the semi syn one that that makes the difference

2molo need them to fix my brake pad 1st..just change...when press lightly got grinding sound but press harder the sound gone...funny
dn't know what problem is it

that's why...so i rather to wait for next time..

ya..the MOS2, it is the ingredient that the liqui moly semi syn oil has it, is it the same as Eneos Molybdenum?

the brake pad, better u check it, as maybe it will affect ur rotor disc as well..maybe the positioning of the brake pad is not that nice..
*
will ask them to check it
cuz light press got sound..press lil harder the sound gone
it's not OEM brake pad BTW

then u need to check it as it is not OEM brake..

http://www.liqui-moly.de/liquimoly/mediend...2010W-40_EN.pdf

i checked the specification, it is SL grade, and if i compare to my current petronas semi syn 10w-40..it has a little bit higher for all the specification such as viscocity, index and others..but it has higher sulphate ash, which i think is not so good...
*
if it's not good thn next time won't use it again
they can only cheat us 1 time only..haha
plus BMW use this oil

QUOTE(torresism @ Nov 7 2011, 07:23 PM)
haha..true also la...i am satisfied with my current syntium 10w-40,at least better than shell helix hx7..and this synthium 10w-40 is comparable to Amsoil semi syn oil (not SSO series), based on the specifications...actually syntium fully synthetic fully syn is good oil..

ya..try one time see if it can reduce friction so that the engine sound also lower.. laugh.gif

Added on November 7, 2011, 7:24 pm
not bad..bt still feel that lack of something which can make it looks perfect.. hmm.gif
*
which petronas syntium u using?
the one that SC supply one?
for me the petronas oil that SC use quiet useless....not yet 5k already noisy
hx-7 for me is better but recently not so good
