QUOTE(monster2020 @ Oct 24 2011, 02:21 PM) not sure bout other flx owner. i consider those are known problem. but that rubber band effect is probably characteristic of cvt. to prevent any major problem mybe can go sc ask them to check and verify safe for use. |

QUOTE(Max_speedz @ Oct 24 2011, 09:45 AM) while driving suddenly u can hear sound like belting stuck and cvt warning light turn red.. after that all gear cant use anymore,D, R, L..kena towing g servis centre..(sorry my english bad) QUOTE(Max_speedz @ Oct 24 2011, 11:48 AM) yup.. clutch pump??? this morning proton service centre(serdang raya) call me tow my car to proton HQ for change the problem part. "and the person from proton service centre told me, this month got 8 FLX CVT same prob sent to their sevice centre" i think this pump related to the jerk we suffering during slow cruise which make a sudden release when we accelerate and caused the car to jerk... bro Max_speedz, after you claim this, please test out whether the car with jerk during traffic jam or not... |

I think it's not correct to associate Saga's jerk with CVT's "rubber band effect"...."rubber band effect" only refers to the feeling of stepping the pedal and revving but not feeling the immediate pull like traditional gears as it speed up slowly or uniformly. Jerking doesn't exist in other CVT's car.....including my friend's Slyphy and my Inspira...just to share. I think it's a SAGA specific problem.Added on October 24, 2011, 5:02 pm QUOTE(huzaifa136 @ Oct 24 2011, 02:15 PM) mybe certain batch got this problem.. mine so far good.. except those known jerk(rubber band effect) and idle choking.. hopefully no major prob.. mine almost 2k mileage.. im going to change my spark plugs to denso iridium , but im confused to choose which model of the spark plug is suitable to use in BLM.
i read many people were using IT20, but then the mechanics/foreman recommended using IK16 who mentioned IT20 is not suitable in BLM. so kindly please advise which is the best for BLM. IT20 or IK16? thanks. |

the jerk is due to the delay of the DBW, which in turn make the gearbox software "confused" hence the jerk occur.
