QUOTE(peet @ Nov 5 2011, 12:56 PM)
Very good weekend morning to all!

U do realise at that speed all it takes is a small porthole or patch of water to send u to heaven? This I heard frm a wise tow truck driver who has seen it all -- body parts lying all over the road etc.

Anyway, wish u long life. No one is invincible. Stay young. Stay foolish. But not reckless. (quote partly frm Steve Jobs).
*
no worry bro, i just test the top speed, not purposedly speeding on road... btw, all precaution has been took during top speed test, especially test it on new highway where no patch hole and dry road sweat.gif

not much difference
as long as the car's CC is still below 3000CC
thn the roadtax shouldn't be a burden
but 1.3 and 1.6 not much difference...just focus on buying a better car
considering FLX?...just get the 1.6L FLX
*

and 2.4L here is already around RM 7xx. Not exactly "shouldn't be a burden"

my previous mpv 2.5L is already RM 1xxx sweat.gif

around there. Some owners reported a bit lower due to light footer and some like mine is higher a bit.
If you want 140kmh, the rpm is 3,500rpm. tongue.gif
company. lol
*
why your FLX so different than mine? hmm.gif
mine 3,000 rpm is 130 km/h
while 3,500 rpm is 150 km/h
try check for 100 km/h, what's the rpm is? mine is around 2,300 rpm @ 100 km/h

tomorrow going to Proton COE for checking. few thing stated for my diagnosis which is :
1) Engine jerking during slow cruising (traffic jam)
2) Engine jerk during car idle
3) Gear knob too tight tongue.gif
4) Driver's door chicking noise during open/close
5) CVT light turn on last 2 month
6) Engine krut krut sound when cruising between 80 to 90 kmph (might be IAFM faulty)

3) too tight also got problem?
usually only old car is loose...and i dn't think is good...tight mean new

6) engine krut krut sound?..wow....what kind of sound is that?
the krut sound togather with rev ah?...meaning if u rev higher...krut also follow faster?
*
the gear knob really tighter than usual... even i try some new car on persona and myvi, the knob is softer...
when changing gear from 'L' low ratio back to 'D', sometime over push to 'N'... shakehead.gif

the engine only got krut krut noise when rev between 2,000 to 2,300 @ 80/90kmph... rev more or less, the noise is gone, weird hmm.gif since i got the car til last month, that noise wasn't there, only happen lately...

hmm.. i oso facing prob 1-3. the gear knob really will over push.

I also facing the same problem of engine jerking when its slow and when i step on the pedal slightly..... plus, i duno about other FLX CVT drivers, but my engine hums and it slows down when i go downhill.....
is the jerking part something all of us FLX CVT drivers have to endure ??? or something that can be done ??? i think most FLX CVT drivers have the jerking problem
*
QUOTE(catalystgenesis86 @ Nov 24 2011, 08:49 AM)
having same problems with
1) Engine jerking during slow cruising (traffic jam)
2) Engine jerk during car idle
3) Gear knob too tight tongue.gif
*
finally my car sent for inspection at COE, now leaving my car alone for those Proton guy to find out the cause of jerking... all complain matter issue to them, and the guy who inspect my car also shocked to see gear knob too tight...
and that guy who inspect my car said, they will drive my car to traffic jam area to try that jerk (mean they never know about jerking issue before this)... hmm.gif

your gear knob very very virgin. brows.gif

that VIN get from the front and/or back windschield. the sandblasted numbers and alphabets which starts with PB <bla bla bla>. The last six digit is basically the car's own identitity number, just like our passport. smile.gif
wahlan, itu TS open V17 then go kerja edi, dint open thread. doh.gif
*
icic, so that last six digit is our car's identification number hmm.gif
yeah, my gear knob really virgin, i asked that inspection guy to switch to 'L' then push back to 'D', but... he also over push to 'N'... lol laugh.gif
