I'm curious about temperature of wira....
Last time i speed around 130kmh at the highway back to home, then i found out after a while my temperature go above mid-point. (With Air-con on)

Is this consider normal? cause i don't really know how it work and i still a newbie.

I would appreciate help from you guys... Thanks.

not normal. if no problem it won't go above mid-point.
better get your car checked.

When was the last time you check your radiator water level and change your coolant?

Check hoses for leaks as well.

Last time serviced jor, radiator cleaning, 1st time change water pump since the first time bought it........

the point is i speed in high kmh..... normally is under 120kmh but this time i go over that and reach 150kmh....

remove the thermostat. Have same problem with my old wira...temp always above half sometimes 3/4...have service the radiator, same problem...during traffic jam temparature normal below half mark...but when on highway...temp rise to above half mark...remove the thermostat problem solve..

Agreed... Remove thermostat fir malaysia weather... Make sure your radiator already clean or flash

removing the thermostat is stupid... why? because the car have to run on a certain tempreture to achieve efficiency. If thermostat broken, just replace it. dont remove it...

doesn't feel like it's nearing it's limit.

mine also 17 years old wira. same problem with you when run at highway, but i didn't repair it because its temperature will back to normal when i run at kl. only happen when drive fast & long time at highway. old car, what you hope it can do???

mine only happen when i stop halfway...during long journey....it will increase a bit only....otherwise its fine....wira 97

yes, mine 1 also get notice when i stop at rest station after i speed at 170++ , when run at 110 it jz increase a bit, bt let it rest for half hour it will back to normal.

No nd repair la, use it n tahan n wait for 2more yrs then change 2new car. i keep repair this old car until boring n decide want change it liao. but right nw it in good condition pula once i got mind to change it...

Ya... usually temperature will be high when stop after high speed run, and that's why turbo car needs turbo timer.

Just double check the water/coolant level and lubricant oil level when temperature is abnormal. If the temperature rises during traffic jam, need to check the fan and its' relay. Maybe the radiator efficiency degrades over time as well...

normal problem - Water pump, many ppl dun know need to chagne this.

Ya... many people said that.Mine 1 changed last year. so i won't worry it anymore.

Errr... usually, the engine temperature wouldn't go high during jam (engine low rev, less heat), unless your radiator fan couldn't spin (with enough water/coolant+functional water pump).

Last time was my radiator leaking, until the water temperature rise above normal during jam...

Oh... Maybe mine and yours are slightly different abit. Now my temperature goes normal, i guess i can just leave a side for a while sin. =D

Temperature rise while speeding indicates faulty pipe cooling related to your radiator and piping.Usually clogged pipe due to rust and the ageing.
Mine changed the whole pipe and hose comes to about:
1. Water pipe - 45
2.U hose - 12
3. S hose - 12
4. Upper hose - 28
5. Clip hose - 20 @ 2/unit
Total - 117.00

if you like you can service your radiator about 70.
So you can budget about 200 for the maintenance...
