Some countries are easing monetary policies... do you think BNM will decrease FD rates again?
I think I better lock in for 6 months or 1 year...

maybank can, but when you want to withdraw you need to go the the branch where you apply your ATM card to do it. It's a bit of hassle.
E-fixed deposit is much more convenient. This post has been edited by soul2soul: Nov 18 2011, 11:12 AM |

QUOTE(gsc @ Mar 5 2012, 11:49 PM) the bank told me it is fixed at 4% per year for 3mth FD....I think one member has confirmed that earlier. Based on the person info., I asked the bank on Feb 14, the bank RM say NO. But last week the RM sms me said YES. Again proven that OCBC staffs do not know their package well. Just went to OCBC , a bit disappointed after they told me that they don't allow the Principal / Interest of the promotional FD to be credited into saving account upon maturity. I need to be physically present to withdraw the FD, if not they will renew it a board rate for the same period.Added on March 5, 2012, 11:51 pm surprised on this question...do we still have bank account opening based on race only ?? Can anyone confirm this? This post has been edited by soul2soul: Mar 6 2012, 03:37 PM |

Singapore tightens monetary policy.
http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin...1194912/1/.html Looks like BNM won't be slashing interest rate but may raise interest rate to preempt inflationary pressure in the coming months. |
