Hi, Anyone try this HSBC Amanah, Kota Damansara FD? I am currently Advance E-checking account with HSBC, according to their needs, fresh fund of Rm50K and RM500 for openning a new account. 1. Can I transfer RM50K from my HSBC account to another bank, and issue a cheque back to HSBC amanah to open the account and FD? Will they pick it up?
2. Are they open in Saturday?

went to HSBC amanah Kota Damansara today, dissapointed to find out that existing HSBC advance account holder are not qualify for the FD offer, as Advance is consider Advance Amanah as well. Unless go for the Premier Account which need RM200K fresh fund.

SCB DU branch called me last Friday, asked me to transfer my step -up saving FD plan to another plan (6 months @ 4.5 %), which is more attractive, and he claimed that this is even more atttractive compare with the gradual rate step up plan. Anyone can comment on this? plan to top up another RM100K for this.

the SCB 4.5% FD offer appeared to be a bait, only part of it entitled for this FD rate, the rest need to be invested in unit trust or somekind of saving plan. I found this guy from SCB branch is very irresponsible. When he called me, kept on saying they encourage saver to change their step up saving plan (FD for 6 months) to this, I had also asked him, this is FD, he said yes... wasted my time and effort to rush to the branch. Very irresponsible..... I left in less than 5 minutes...
