You need to start in June 2012 to use only RM30k investment... not in May 2012

Minimum Balance in Existing CASA is RM10
Baseline = RM10 x 30 days in April / 30 = RM10

Deposit RM30000 on 1 June 2012, withdraw RM10 on 30 June 2012
01 Jun : Day-end Balance = RM30010
02 Jun : Day-end Balance = RM30010
03 Jun : Day-end Balance = RM30010
04 Jun : Day-end Balance = RM30010
:
:
30 Jun : Day-end Balance = RM30000
01 Jul : Day-end Balance = RM30000
:
:
31 Jul : Day-end Balance = RM30000
01 Aug : Day-end Balance = RM30000
:
:
31 Aug : Day-end Balance = RM30000

ADB for Jun to Aug = RM2760290 / 92 = RM30003.15 ---> Gets RM300 cash back
*
shouldnt it be minus baseline , for the whole period. rclxub.gif

Bank Rakyat. The staff said that the starting date will be according to today's date, but I will check the cert on Tuesday to make sure it is correct.

The only proof I have for the FD deposit is a normal deposit slip stating the amount, FD period and date.
*
Dont worry that is the norm for Bank Rakyat. For Mubeen deposit the interest amount is printed inclusive on FD cert when u collect. cool.gif

Additional info for GIA-I FDS _(Maybank)

The revised/additional term is:

"All parties agree that the indicative dividend rate disclosed by the Bank from time to time to the Customer is the return expected by the Customer under the Mudharabah venture ("Expected Return"). Any profit derived from the Mudharabah venture shall be distributed to the Customer based on the Profit Sharing Ratio. Notwithstanding the foregoing or anything herein contained, the Customer hereby agrees that any excess over the Expected Return shall be waived by the Customer and be retained by the Bank as an incentive fee. Hibah may be granted by the Bank at its absolute discretion to the Customer in the event there is any shortfall between the Expected Return and the actual profit generated from the Mudharabah venture."

Conclusion:-

Will not received anything more than Indicative Rates(Expected Returns) vmad.gif
Will not (may not) received anything less - Hibah hmm.gif

You are seriously need help indeed. Take post #1 as a reference than find out the actual rates with the bank.
Post # 1 is not a bank. It has no authority whatsoever to overrule or dispute the rates given by the respective banks

Guys, advice needed. I am a young adult, just graduated and startd work. Plan to buy a house and get married in 3yrs from now (may2015).

Monthly im trying to save up 500-1k. what is the best option?
savings, too little interest. UT is not short term.

If i take fd, every 1 or 2 month need to go add in $$. is that ok? please advice any other option that i can keep on add money monthly n earn quite good interest?
Thanks guys.
*
In 36mths x max 1k= 36k
In 36mths x min 500= 18k

Can just get married , nothing flashy will be enough.
Everymth contribute ,only thing can think of is UT or some investment linked plan but overall nothing spectacular, maybe can gamble at genting. whistling.gif

If in your shoes, wont think of buying house until financially stable as it is a liability (financial independence strategy).

Anyway ur in wrong thread, can refer to Personal financial planning n fund investment thread. hmm.gif

Actually they try to convince to buy bond/stuctured investment 50% can go for fd at 4% pa.

They have a saving or so with the incremental clause 5% to 10% pa, not going to figure it out. rclxub.gif

Got some questions regarding Bank Rakyat's FD (Qidrah)... Let's say I deposit RM5,000.00 into FD for 1 year term (4.01%), how much will I receive from Bank Rakyat in term of dividend amount upon maturity? Is it around RM200.50? Coz from the website, got mention "profit sharing" between client & bank (40:60) ---> "Al-Mudharabah"... Or this profit sharing already take into account & excluded from the 4.01% dividend that i'll gained?
*
You will received exactl RM200.50. qiradh or no Qiradh BR says have been paying consisten past few years at fixed rate. Dont spam me as converstion with counter clerk this morning. brows.gif

Just for info.

Generally, I deposit into FDS using Bank Draft or Cheques. However, I encounter a stupid mistakes today which I would like to share.

The recent delay in Sukuk refunds(MBB) coupled with my stupidity nearly caused my cheque to bounce. In preparation for funds (sukuk) to be available in my account, I wrote a cheque ready to be deposited in FD. Once saw the fund available(after delay), immediately deposit check into FD on 15/5/12. It wasnt until I received a call from the bank, did I realised that the fund is in my savings account and I did not transfer to cheque account. doh.gif

STEP 2

Open a Premium Hybrid Current Account which gives you earnings up to 3.75% p.a.

2. Ratio of CASA to FD must be 60:40, with injection of fresh funds. yawn.gif
