Hi,
My door frames have just painted..but I found out that some of them have holes or scratches damaged during renovation period...
I ask my painter, why you did not skim coat and cover all the holes before paint...he said hole too big can't help...
So, can I use wood filler to smooth my door frames by covering all the holes first and then repaint one layer again?
or any material will do?
thanks a lot for advices

Sand when dry. You can create wood grain effect using a small putty knife if you want. Or just apply putty filler if its just for a quick fill. This post has been edited by XPS: Oct 14 2011, 12:28 PM

QUOTE(tiensong @ Oct 14 2011, 04:45 PM) PYE is the brand or? PYE wood filler? If the cracks are small PYE would be as good. However deep scratches require wood filler or epoxy as PYE does not bind very well and cracks etc. I use either depending on what is the extent of damage (PYE is a lot cheaper).
