Err, i kinda disagree with this. It is in my opinion that most people who can buy inspira can afford to buy Lancer, it is just an additional 26k, spread around 9 years, should not be an issue.

Not sure about you guys, but older generation will tend to buy toyota cars, due to their previous impression that toyota is a durable and reliable car. For honda, most younger generation will go for it, it looks sporty, and dunno why, I met with some people that bought honda city, they think they are higher class because they drive honda? WTH? they are nuts. lol, it's just a car.

I go for inspira because it is the best bang for money. Plus, i got alot of news about honda civic and forte having issue. My research points to me that while inspira does have issue, so with other cars, the issue is not severe, and can be fixed. There is even a guy who make a complain about his car being lemon, and create a website for it, but then he take out his complain email, so this suggest that proton did repair for him. So issue solve.

When I got my car, i am impressed. I am afraid before I took my car, because i have this impression that I make the wrong choice, wrong decision... what happened if i got some shit car.... but to my surprise, the SA checked everything for me before he call me to pick up the car. When I got there, they just finish applying wax to my car. I am so impressed. Unlike my old honda, when i ask why there is an issue, that honda SA replied me: "it;s like that one". WTH? haiz, i was disappointed with honda's SA. At least take the initiative to show me other cars is having the same issue.....

It is true. CVT does not have a gear. Those people which said gears refers to planetary gears configuration, where the gears cog are in fixed ratio. CVT does not have a gear. It does however, have virtual gears. Those pulleys inside the CVT simulate gears by fixing a ratio determine in the ECU. Inspira have 6 virtual gears ratio, not 6 gears. Theoretically, inspira have infinite amount of gear ratio.

Yes, when you are in sport mode, the ECU fixed a ratio for each so called gears. But when you are in normal D mode, your CVT changes ratio constantly according to the way you drive

Mine the same here. Full tank only gets me 430km. And I am using shell as well. Please do note this. I am staying in Penang were stop and go due to heavy traffic. Thus I think it is reasonable enough to get only that. I have yet to travel outstation. If I can get 700km per tank during outstation travel, i'll be damn happy lol

The problem with big cars is it's big and heavy. When you are running at 160kmph, you don;t feel that it's fast. Compare it yourself when you are in a smaller cc car.

Added on November 7, 2011, 11:37 amAnyone installed any sidesteps? Any comments? I am having this concern that water might clog at the bottom of the sidesteps. Please prove me wrong. Because I am thinking of getting a LED sidesteps to help visibility during night time.
