just got my 9100G last week... try to root this morning and have error after setup connection in odin... something with com port cannot connect...
the solution is to restart the laptop/pc and use other usb port to connect the phone to pc... now my 9100G already rooted...  btw TS... maybe u should mention to enable the USB debugging in your steps... also in odin, do we need to uncheck the 'repartition'?
