both of you a little bit on the wrong path, maybe my guide is not very clear.

usb jig is like the ultimate resetter, it can clear binary counter and also yellow triangle, but it need old bootloader to be working.

dante10, the steps to remove yellow triangle from my guide, if u understand it properly, the last result will get u back on the superatmos kernel

example : now on superatmos, u dump using ktool, then u flash stock kernel using odin, then u reflash the dumped superatmos before, so right now u are back to superatmos but without yellow triangle. but still with binary counter as it can only be removed using usb jig.

really? maybe u should report it back to superatmos. maybe he forgot to include or forgot to call the script.

btw u can just try 3.0 also, it is better in my opinion and CWM worked, just backed up my rom in few minutes.

version should not be changing as he only modded the initramfs i think, not build from sources, u can just ignore the version.

Hello sifus, I've been reading through this thread for a while and my first time using Odin. So I finally flash from the Malaysian I9100GDZKL3 (CSC:I9100GOLCKL3) to the German I9100GXXLA1 (CSC:I9100GDBTKL2)

Everything works fine so far and nothing has gone wrong yet but when I plug it into Kies, it says "Your device does not support software upgrading via Kies"

Is that a bad thing? Should I be worried about it when the ICS update does finally come out?

Yeah Kies can be a pain at times. It'll keep saying Connecting... for some time before telling me its failed. Odin it is then.

I even tried doomlord's method. The runme.bat file works I guess, cause it reboots the phone at the end, after it restarts and I start kTool, and I click flash kernel from sdcard, they say (no root access?!!)
and I cant even reboot from kTools...

tried other usb port, what do you mean by install install kies ?
I ended adp and all kies related tasks...

and I tried 3 different usb ports...
any idea whats wrong ?

superuser didnt appear, instead, I downloaded the app from the playstore and it was practically empty if you get what I mean.

This was what I did and now my cwm doesnt operate properly.
Everytime I run it it says "This version of CWM Manager should be usedwith CF-zroot v5.0 or newer. I appears that you are running a different kernel. Various features have been disabled."
My CMW manager practically doesnt work at all...
It opens but cant function at all. What should I do ?
And I have already backed up with the cwm manager earlier, but I cant seem to restore it at all...

After root I9100G with <I9100GDZKL3> , My Wifi can connect ,
But it keep scanning every 6sec ....

hello i got problem.. after i do proses DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit then after finish runme.bat install ktool n i open it got this:

got the same problem with my wife's phone. done your instructions but also cannot get CWM to work after flash Zimage. last try i will use the usb jig. hope this will work

i got the same error as below:

so i just reflashed the root kernel thru odin and the YT still appears but CWM is ok. so i'm going to use usb jig to try to remove the YT.

but i've already flash with GB kernel 2.3.6..

do you have any link to dzkj2 bootloader? so i will flash the old bootloader and use usb jig to remove the YT. so after that i just flash any custom kernel with CWM should be ok right?

hi mate. it seems like they are flashing the the stock kernel image thru odin instead of using ktool method. it didn't mentioned any jig here.

err guys, anyway to revert to old firmware? i have a i9100G with me that has KL3 firmware. benchmark report its proc only runs at 800mhz.

ever tried the other option by flashing the root kernel?

hi mate, i did settled the YT issue. these are the steps i did:

tool: buy a usb jig; its a must

steps: 1. download the old bootloader from dante10 post above
          2. by using odin, select the .tar file and set it as PDA.
          3. Press start and the phone will reboot after it successfully flashed the bootloader.
          4. switch off phone.
          5. connect the jig and your phone will automatically detects the device and your flash counter will be 0 again!
          6. after reboot phone, no more YT!!! can flash custom kernel thru CWM as i did with non-G version!!
