I've read through many forums and messages and I just want to make sure:

It is not possible to root i9100G 2.3.6 (2.6..35.7 kernel) using doomlords method, because the exploit used there has been fixed in that Android version, right? Could you please confirm this?

Therefore, I have the option of flashing a rooted kernel. I read this is a bit more dangerous. Also, in "Full Guide for i9100G.pdf" it says "Binary counter can only be reset with USB jig and only from old bootloader (KJ2 and lower)". Could you explain to me the yellow riangle and the binary counter, how to avoid and what "old bootloader KJ2 and lower" means. Sorry, I don't have DZKI1 and so on (I9100GXXKL4 and Gingerbread.XXLB1).

Thank you.

I tried to flash the kernel using Odin and superatmos. superatmos 3.3 works only with the zImage/sd-card way, which itself needs root as a prerequisite. So I tried 3.2, but no matter what I do Odin connects (yellow COM) but fails saying "can't open serial (COM) port...".

I used Kies before. I killed all Kies related processes. I started Odin as Administrator.

Using i9100g android 2.3.6, I9100GXXKL4, 2.6.35.7 kernel, Gingerbread.XXLB1.

Any idea?
