I got fed up with all this custom ROMs. Nothing is exciting. Only thing i saw was great was the theme on SuperRom 2.0 with the wallpapers and battery indicator ( mainly only this). So i went back to stock ROM, rooted with doomlord. Put in root explorer and transfered framework-res.aok from SuperROM v 2 into my stock and i have the same outlook with indicators and lock screen and wallpapers. Done.. I will stick to this for foreseeable future. Every custom ROM has its pro and con and I just want better battery life. With JDU+ setcpu + autostarts , I can do that already.

Even for odexed ROMs, the framework-res.apk is usually de-odexed. So u can transfer from custom ROM of ur choice into stock . No worries. But if u unsure, dont. Read everything properly and know what to do if u hit by softbrick. Otherwise u are good to go.

Hi all - want to ask if DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit v4 will work with the latest ICS4.03 to unroot the I9100G?

Anyone tried?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks to bindgu explanation (a few posts above) - we wont be able to since on ICS4.0.3 (DXLP6 firmware) it is running 3.0.8 kernel.

Looks like have to use older method and will result in increase in binary count ..... unless you are still on GB

So older method is this one?

guys i havent flashed yet. will be doing tonight. but have been following and reading the threads abt this. a lot of ppl experince different problems from the update.. from what ive read..ill just share with you guys.

its highly recommended to do a FULL WIPE before flashing ICS.boot into recovery Wipe Cache, Clear Dalvik. After you have flashed LP7, wipe cache, dalvik and factory reset again..then flash CM9 restoring apps with TB might cause some issues with some apps.
Badkidz,

as i know only LP7 kernel is available
DXLP6

So confirm using older method(rooted kernel) would work? Anyone used this method before?
