I think why G version change to 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 CPU, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, TI OMAP 4430 chipset is because the ICS optimization OS.

Since Motorola driod razr also using exactly the same processor and according to an interview with TI guy article, the ICS is optimize for TI 4430 for droid razr and TI 4460 for Gnexus.

I am wondering the custom rom for Droid Razr can be used for S2-G version too since both running same chipset ??

*mind you the TI 4430 is able to run at 1.5Ghz*

So i think the update doesnt unroot ur phone, thats good smile.gif
MyGKernel is a custom kernel that support CWM (Clockwork Mod)
Ya, the orange theme is a custom rom~
So if u wan to install the custom rom, flash MyGKernel via ODIN (enter downloads mode Vol.down+home+power)
then flash the custom rom via CWM (recovery mode Vol.up+home +power)
Then u can enjoy a rooted i9100G v Orange custom rom but with the yellow triangle logo on startup~
(can use usb jig to clear it i think, correct me if I'm wrong)

It should but as of now, cant feel much.
I'm still monitoring the battlife. I do agree that the battlife have improved but maybe not sufficient enough.
The more you explore, the more time you spend on the phone. LOL.

Means you have not successfully installed CWM.

Try opening the Root needed Apps. See can use or not. If yes, good for you. If not, you need to reroot it again.
OKlaaaa... nothing to shout about. But at least its not stock. LOL.
I always wanted the battery % indicator. And I like the more options for Power button.

Yours updated to 2.3.6 already?
Did you closed all phone related software on the PC like Kies, myphoneexplorer etc? You can check at Task Manager and end those related processes.
*

Should be 5mins-10mins. Shouldnt be very long. How about PM those who have solved the problem themselves?
Easier to communicate.

Guys, whoever with Juffo's Custom ROM... how is your data services?
I'm having multiple disruptions today. Stucked emails, messaging etc.
I will need to reboot, then everything went thru normally.

ROM Manager is not fully compatible with SGS II. Use it at your own risk. You might be able to do a backup but restoring your backup usually will fail. It is still best to use a dedicated CWM meant for the SGS II
