 Nissan X-trail engine cannot start, after washing the car

If wash engine, normally some wiring got wet. Example spark plug terminals, coil and/or distributors (if any), but normally if this happens, engine should be able to start but vibrate a lot and cannot idle.
But was mentioned after cranked a long time it started, then probably the plugs wet, but by petrol not water, as you can smell the petrol. Once the combustion chamber is flooded with petrol, needs a lot of cranking to start, but must not step on the accelerator any more. Probably can take spark plugs out and have a look.....

All my fuel injected cars, just start by cranking only, no need to step on accelerator......
