I applied the IDefense Pro Screen Coverage for my XE last night, after that i left my XE dry overnight. This morning i turn on my phone i got some wet mark under my screen  cry.gif. Will the wet mark disappear later on ?
*
Go to a supermart and buy a "Thirsty Hippo" and a plastic container that is just big enough to fit the thirsty hippo and your phone. Tear off the foil on thirsty hippo and put it in the container, throw in your phone. Seal it up, and put it somewhere safe, check it after a day, give it a few more days if they don't go away.

BTW, i am a original sensation owner, just stopping by, i have my phone rooted to ICS Sense 3.5 beta. xD

Will try it if the water mark not getting away, read some articles in xda somebody use a bowl of rice to get ride of the water damage not sure it work or not. By the way the water mark getting smaller by now, hope it will disappear later on  cry.gif
*
thirsty hippo would work faster than selica gel or rice, it is only about RM7 a can. if the mark is getting smaller, it will disappear soon. you just hope that the excessive water does not reach the components inside, or the humid indicator, which will void your warranty.

can anyone pm me the way how to install ICS from leedroid? abit confuse with the "install XE firmware from mike" ><

is there any differences from arHD ICS and leedroid ICS? any sensavian used both and mind give their comments? biggrin.gif

i suggest you try InsertCoin ICS rom, it is the most stable and best ICS rom i have ever had. And I got the best battery life with this rom.

but keep in mind that the current ICS build is still beta, some occasional freeze will happen and camera effects will not work.

EDIT: if anyone is wondering, my 3G and Wifi is always on, i have auto brightness on and pocket mode off.

Yes i first full wipe it than i flash the firmware after than only i flash the custom rom.
*
i am on InsertCoin 4.3.2 and the only problem I have with the camera is crashing when Camera Effects is used, but that is a known bug of the BETA ICS build.

What is the significant improvement of Sense 3.5 over 3.0 ?
*
If you're comparing Gingerbreads, other than the aesthetic improvement and maybe a few more widgets, i cant find any different. Sense 3.5 layout looks a lot more neat.

However if you're on ICS Sense 3.5, there are significant improvement on the homescreen, the dock bar is completely different with 4 replaceable apps icons and a "all apps" button just like the original ICS, and homescreen folders will show apps icons instead of just a green folder. Really useful!

means wad? after flash new firmware cant get back to gb rom?
*
Nope, I mean you cannot boot the current ICS build unless you flash back the older firmware.

You can go back to GB if you flash 1.17 firmware.

I am still downloading the rom, (crappy streamyx) but here is what i read:

Same look as 3.5,
1. Tethering is back
2. Effect in Camera can be used now.
3. No reboot while using music app.
4. Weather is full now(no missing part).
5. Downanimation is in full screen.
6. Recent app in notification is back.
7. Feel faster
8. More stable

will do some testing once flashed. smile.gif

I thought i am going back to GB for the holidays but I guess I will stick to ICS for a while longer. XD
Will be using ARHD in a while until the next release of InsertCoin later today, or tomorrow. smile.gif

Anyone here use ARHD 6.1.0, the sense 3.6 one? How was it compared to RCMix's sense 3.6?
*
I am currently on InsertCoin's Sense 4.40(Sense 3.6) I much prefer it over ARHD and RCMX.

I can conclude that this latest build of ICS's usability is comparable to any GB roms. Since camera effecs is fixed I can't find any reason to go back to a GB rom, I have not encounter any crashes or freezes or random reboot, This latest ICS build is very stable.

However some apps still may not work until the apps developer update it to make them compatible with ICS, eg my Asphalt 6 HD's accelerometer does not work properly, but thats the fault of Gameloft and not ICS.

Try changing your wireless channel to 11 if it happens again.

So if i want to flash back to gingerbread how for me to do so?
*
Yes, you can go from ICS to GB, vice versa.

You can boot GB with 4.01 firmware.

Not sure about 4.03+ firmwares, because i have not tried flashing a GB rom since.

However, using ICS firmware on GB can cause problem because they are unmatched.

You can always flash back 1.17(GB) firmware if you decided to stick to GB rom though.

I have been using it for a few days and not a single crash or freeze.
I am on 1.2ghz firmware though, heard 1.5 is not very stable.

hey teh master..pls provide some feedback after u flash the rom..really appreciate it..currently not at home so have to wait later to test lee's magic

I read that baad purposely disable auto-download because we/he use Titanium Backup to restore apps, and he said this will be optional during flash in future.

Yeap, follow what teh said. I wipe then installed firmware, ended up not being able to get into recovery, had to use a computer to get to recovery...no big deal if you're flashing at home but a pain when you can't have access to a computer that had ADB enabled.
*
If you cannot enter recovery because of PG58IMG.zip then just pop out your SD card BEFORE entering bootloader, once inside bootloader pop the SD back in and enter recovery.

Guys wanted to ask which one of the firmwares should be downloaded?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
So I just put the firmware, rom, superwipe into the SD card, then wipe then flash rom,go into bootloader and update the firmware, but I dont understand how to update, they say put 'fastboot',what is that?
*
Scroll down to "Beginner Friendly Firmware Downloads:" and download "DOWNLOAD 3.24 Revolutionary:"

you don't have to deal with fastboot. put PG58IMG.zip into root directory of your SD card, boot into bootloader and follow instruction onscreen to update firmware.
