Sensation owner here but still if you're not a fan of fancy UI which is what HTC Sense offer, you may as well consider going for Galaxy S II. Personally though I'm a user of Sensation (I wanted Galaxy S II but dad's using S II and he doesn't want me to use the same phone as him ), I prefer the Galaxy S II. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S II feels snappier and smoother. But screen resolution on Sensation is awesome. When you surf the web or use apps like Teamviewer, you can see how useful are those extra pixels.
Between Sensation and Sensation XE, if you have the money, why not go for it, right? But only if you're fine with Beats super heavy bass earphones.

Lol actually my original plan was to get S2 as well
But this is cheaper than S2 RM400 through contract, so i ended up getting this one
Very nice phone........
The only problem is the battery, you need to learn how to control/use it properly or use some apps to help you
But i believe if you go for S2, the battery life also sure got problem one

If you got extra cash and you like red, go for XE.....i personally dont really like red

I'm rating the Sensation for 9 out of 10. The remaining "1" is because of the battery life. If you can afford to pay more for Sensation XE and why not ? Plus the Beats earphones are really nice!

Hello guys, i found my sensation is hot on the lower part of the screen after few minutes of usage including surfing and facebooking. Do you guys experiencing the same problem as well?? Is tat normal?

And i also notice that the back cover is not fully fitted to the body, there is a creepy sound when i press the screen and the back cover? Is tat a norm for all the sensation?

Mine is like that too

just don't hold it too hard lol. i use casemate tough and its unnoticeable when i grip the phone, the creeking sound that is. that also if i apply alot of force to the screen, which nobody should be doing to their touch screens.

i finally got my skinomi screen protector, its quite good for usd3. i highly recommend it for anyone who wishes to have a sp which can cover the whole sensation screen. abit tricky to apply tho.

Personally i'd give it a 7.5/10
0.5 marks deducted for having no user accessible built in storage
1 mark deducted for the terrible speaker [it sounds crackled when fully cranked and yet the volume still isn't loud enough]
1 mark deducted for the fact that text flickers when scrolling [very obvious when scrolling white text on a dark background][should only happen on screens made by AUO,screens made by Sharp shouldn't have this problem]

Problems?If you hold the top part near the earpiece with your hand WIFI signal drops significantly.

Haha....yea that seriously annoys me....cause usually i like to play games and browse internet using landscape view......

wifi deathgrip issue has been fixed in xe. well i never experienced it anyway.

and yeah the worst thing bout this phone, and generally htc phones is the internal memory lol.

I vote 9/10 also... the 1 is for the storage... it seems for me 32gb external also not enough..... For battery wise, all smartphone are the same, drinking like mad if you don't know how to set it.....

Added on November 1, 2011, 2:48 pm+1, so true man. i tested my fren SGS2 use awhile for games, browsing n etc, in front and back also hot.... On hotspot for fren to use, also hot like crazy... put in pocket also stim bcoz can feel something burning....

i tried my htc sensation, play 4 hrs of inotia3 just bottom screen hot bcoz my hand keep on pressing... wkaakaka

Yea, it is true. I compared with my friends S2, played the same game n videos for a period of time, then S2 is so much hotter than Sensation.
