Thanks for the warning on xboxlive not being enabled MY accounts.  Just got myself a lumia 800 and I have to say it's nice to finally have a good reason to jump away from ios.

Owh man! That's a good feeling. I gave it a try while visiting Nokia store at The Garden and impressed with the solid OS. I would say real competitor to iOS compare to sloppy android.

For me, the OS feels more natural and make sense unlike iOS which solely based on apps. Anything that we use for everyday live, is just there.

Would love to change it myself but maybe later.

Welcome to the WP7tard club.  rclxms.gif Enjoy the 800.

I'm waiting for the 900/910 to (whichever is the GSM version) to launch in these parts of the world. Looking to upgrade from my HD7 now.

I considered waiting for the 900 but i've always liked the idea of owning a phone that did not require super large pockets to carry around tongue.gif

Now bring on the minesweeper leaderboard challenge!

Yeah, its sad about the XBL thing, but for most of us its just business as usual by entering our gamertag live id

From speaking with nokia staff, they all seem convinced that it's a question of "not yet". It's hard to say whether that's the genuine company line or if it's just a sales pitch. It would seem silly not to introduce it considering how much the other platforms are pushing gaming.

Still, I was always going to use my UK gamertag to register due to my emotional ties to my gamerscore/avatar. What sucks is that I'm now stuck with paying through paypal at GBP prices. Other than that, it's been quite refreshing retiring my 3 year old iphone 3g.

There is a function to change our gamertag region right? Perhaps you can try to change to US since it's much better I guess.

I believe that credit cards are still "region locked" so changing regions wont make a difference.. So i guess i'm still stuck on using paypal.

Found that out the hard way, which is a real PITA. Considering virtual credit cards like entropay now.

Not sure, but i'm in a unique situation with a uk gt and it seems entropay is uk based.. Otherwise theres the amex route but i suspect that only works if you can fool the postcode system and they have a different system in the uk.. What do you use to bypass the regional restrictions.

For some reason, that app is only available in the US marketplace. Boo hoo! Like a few other companion apps.

Well, entropay does work on my UK account which i used to buy chickens can't fly.

You're not missing much, Xbox companion doesn't really do much apart from acting like a remote control. Especially when you don't have access to a lot of the multimedia content.

Yeah, I guess I don't even need the ease of keyboard entry since I have a chat pad too.
