hey guys, some quick questions...
how do u manage your contacts? last time with my previous phones when i sync facebook contacts, it automatically puts photos on my contacts... now it does it for only certain contacts (my guess is those who have matching names, numbers or emails) but for the rest, i have to manually 'join contact' and include the facebook one... very annoying! and what the heck is all these merge/separate/join contacts... too complicated! 2nd question... all of a sudden my FB notification stopped working... i think it happened after flashing new ROM but i don't think it should affect anything... clean wipe, flash, and then install facebook but still it's like that... any idea? 3rd question... after 15 hours, my battery is at 30% with display turned on for 3.5 hours. LOTS of whatsapping and messaging during that 3 hours... is that good battery life? This post has been edited by Gilthoniel: Oct 13 2011, 03:23 PM |

QUOTE(Fallenangelz @ Oct 13 2011, 05:27 PM) q 1: i jz slect to display my phone contacts. go to hell those fb/ gmail contacts. u wont need them for sms/ call hey thanks for the reply. the thing is i like photos in my contacts, and FB sync is one way of putting those photos in place. but i don't get why samsung has this weird way of managing contacts. unless no one actually cares, and just sticks with google contacts (like what i'm doing now)q 2: since u crossed it, no need to answer d. q 3: dun be too greedy. |

ok after testing Androidmeda out for a day, i'm in love with the battery life on this ROM!
I'm running on Androidmeda, with no Surgeon script, on stock theme. No UC or UV, nothing at all. Sync is on, 3G off coz my housing area has poor 3G signal, Wifi On, notifications on for facebook, whatsapp, etc. here is some screenshots of my battery life... more than 4 hours screen on, which was basically used for heavy whatsapping and some surfing, installing some apps, and some voice calls too. I'm pretty happy with it considering it's the first full charge i've had on this ROM, possibly will get better after a few cycles! so what do u think guys? QUOTE(del_Piero10 @ Oct 18 2011, 01:45 PM) now downloading Androidmeda rom..but will not use it until i test the new 2000mAH on current BF2.2+ abyss 1.8.1. only if u want the ROM without bloatware and some extra things like DSP manager, and also to run in 192dpi, then u flash the surgeon script. OR if u want all those things without the DPi change, flash back to stock dpi (link at bottom of the page)so for androidmeda, i only need to download the base ROM, delta update ONE and the latest kernel DNR v3.1 right? do i need to load the Surgeon scripts too? what is this for? I'm not using the script, still with my stock tw launcher. getting about 1 day 8 hours use so far with 3 hours screen time. haven't finished one charge cycle with latest kernel, so i'll report back again later. |

hey guys, any of u ever take gps tagged photos? was on holiday recently, but none of my photos were tagged... turned on GPS, no AGPS of course since i was roaming and didn't wanna incur charges. i couldn't check whether it was tagged or not coz the gallery doesn't have a places function (like the iphone, which has places in its photo stream). so today i uploaded to my PC and damn! they weren't tagged! never had a problem with my wife's iphone 4 though... hmm

i usualy practise a strict FULL WIPE whenever I flash a ROM, just backup with Titanium Backup before you wipe, and then restore. but WITHOUT system data. just apps.
