hey guys, got my sgs2 2 weeks already
need some advice for a good and lasting casing
hope u guys can help me a bit..

I'm eye-ing on a few now
SGP Neo Hybrid (i'm afraid the silicon might make it hard to take out from pocket)
SGP Linear series
Korea iCover Dues Series (cool casing with sound amplifying dock)
Mercury case + mercury color film (great case, i had it last time with my SGS but i'm not sure if i should get the same case or should i try new ones)
Zagg invisible shield
Case mate barely there

If possible, i would really like one that retains the slim profile and but at the same time provide enough protection for drops and also to cover the camera part

SGP Neo Hybrid (if you want to maintain slim profile, attractive design and patterns while resist from scratch.)
SGP Linear Series (same as above but is like setting a casing)
Korea iCover Dues Series (almost like Linear Series)
Mercury Case + Mercury Colour Flim (Sorry, i unable give comments since i never use it before)
Zagg invisible shield.. (Oh my don't get that, its quality worst than SGP's)
Case Mate (Sounds good resist drop/scratch while it adds some bulk)

Two cents for my reviews.

thanks bro...
i'm currently really tempted to get the iCover Due since it comes with two back plates and also the dock... just dont know how good it can last as a hard cover. I used to have a sgp ultra slider case for SGS, the paint job falls off after 2 to 3 weeks of usage, thats y i'm not sure if i should get a hard case.

Zagg is that bad? pheww... luckily i havent bought it...

Does neo hybrid silicon stick to the pocket? i mean is it hard to pull the phone out without pulling our ur whole pocket?

i m using neo hybrid.. be4 i get it i also thought that the silicon will cause more friction when taking out from pocket.. but it turns out that the silicon is very smooth and good to touch material.. just not the kind that u would imagine..
for me when neo hybrid is on.. its not as thin as it was.. but its a good thing to me as it has a better grip on my hand.. naked 1 is too slim n the screen is big so it felt like it is so easy to slip off my hand..
as for the protection.. i never drop be4.. so i dunno how well it can protect from that.. mine is for the purpose of scratch prevention n better grip.. the camera part is not covered but when u put the camera lens face down on a flat surface.. the lense wont have any contact with the surface thx to the thin layer of the silicon n the side plastic la.. hope u get wat i mean..
other cover let other sifus around enlighten u..

hey guys,

I'm using a i9100G here, and i've been facing some problems here.

I know its posted before by someone but i dont think the question was answered.

Most of the time when i try to minimize the app i'm running by hitting the home button ONCE, the voice command opens on its own. I know that pressing the home button twice would open it, but I swear that i only hit it once. From day 1 i got the phone, i disabled every single Motion option in the settings. So i dont think its the double tap problem.

Anybody having the same problem? any way or solving it?

The double tapping function in settings is not the same as the double press home button function. Disabling it does not disable the double press home button.

i understand that very much and i know its a built in feature which i cant remove without root. But it just happens, a single press on the home button launches the voice command not always but occasionally.

Could be a defective home key then. I feel the SGS2 home key is a bit low in quality compared to my Ace. Pressing the home key on the ace feels more solid than the SGS2.

agreed... even back then on my SGS, i feel that its much better. The phone itself feels like a slab or plastic, but luckily there's a wide range of protectors to protect it... but the button... haiz
