Just a quick and simple question:

The yellow tint (my friend's phone is on left side) is a software or hardware detect?

jz kidding la. some units have this problem. if still within 7 days purchase den jz go n ask for 1 to 1 exchange ba, if the problem make u unhappy.

Actually this is a very serious flaw in SGS2, especially when it's equipped with SAMOLED.

So you confirm it's a hardware defect, not software right? Because I read somewhere in XDA that after flashing to some other firmware version solved that problem, but I am somewhat skeptical.

Updating the phone will help. Also, mine has the yellow problem right after starting up, then within seconds it is gone. If the problem still persists, use this:

and set it to blue +6

Thanks for the tips, ashwin1234. Will forward this to him if he decide not so send back for an exchange. rclxms.gif

Same as me,sgs2 is fine for my needs, but the super amoled plus hd looks SWEET!

Anyways, does anyone here experience slight choppiness in tw 4.0 when scrooling through homepages? Its like not buttery smooth got some choppiness, once upgade to 4.5,become buttery smooth, weird hmm.gif

Touchwiz 4.0 / 4.5 is the smoothest launcher out there. I tested almost all kind of third party launcher (from ADW to Zeam) and they all lag slightly when I place some heavy widget (third party calender) and scroll between it. Live wallpaper too, it doesn't lag when scrolling through the app drawer (GO Launcher lag when live wallpaper is used).

Btw, I am using 4.5 too! Buggy, but the extra feature over the original 4.0 always make me irresistible. biggrin.gif

My previous questions got unanswered,so im gonna ask agn, srry to bother y'all,so here r my problems.
1)whenever my battery falls below 50%,i usually get a random reboot, and once it boots up,battery drops abt 20%, and its kinda pissing me off.
2)on stock tw 4.0,theres always a slight choppiness when scrolling through homescreens,no uc oc or uv at all. once i changed to tw 4.5,homescreen scrolling become smooth agn oddly. is slight choppiness in stock tw normal?

I dont uc oc or uv anymore,i just let the system do its thing. no uv scripts too. currently on touch xpower ki3 + siyah 2.0

1) I experience your problem before too. Was using custom kernel (ninphetamine). After switching to stock kernel everything work flawlessly. Now still sticking to custom ROM and kernel. No need to worry about random reboot or whatsoever.

Grrr when recording 720p video when the camera is focusing there is a LOT of motion blur n framerates get EXTREMELY choppy mad.gif
*
Many claim that it is due to the firmware problem.

Two temporary solution:
1) Use 720x480 resolution (no autofocus)
2) Reduce exposure according to the light condition of the environment (-2.0 will completely eliminate the problem). thumbup.gif

yes, it's very choppy in low light....what i did was to flash the cam firmware. Now it's ok but lost the flashlight function during video recording. camera shooting still has flash though.
*
Wow! May I have the link to where you get the firmware? I don't mind sacrificing flashlight on video recording. blush.gif

google SIEG03 cam firmware. u need to flash it using certain code.
yes, no more stutter in low-light.

first i thought its hardware prob. that's why i asked in this thread but no one seems to notice this. luckily, it's just programming prob that can be solved by flashing unofficial cam firmware.
*
I saw the thread at XDA already. Doing a NANDROID backup before flashing it. flex.gif

actually , it's pointless doing nandroid backup coz it's not going to flash ur ROM.
this is just flashing ur cam firmware. nothing's gonna change except ur cam fw.
nandroid wont backup ur cam fw....

Ah. I see.

Btw, I accidentally flash the Phone to SIEG03 too! Will anything bad happen? lol.

EDIT: Yep. No more lag at any light condition. Autofocus working well too! The drawback is no flashlight at all (including using it as a torch). Flash will now only work @ camera.
