you are probably on PR1.0, you may want to try upgrading to PR1.1 (the 1.2 means Meego-Harmattan 1.2 not PR1.2, I know it is a bit confusing, but well..). Just download the latest Nokia Software Updater aka NSU (3.0.560 iirc), plug your phone to the computer and follow the instructions on screen. It will probably fail at the end of the process, but you can just recover and follow the instructions on screen, everything should be ok.

however before going through the update route (it is a 1.1GB upgrade), you may want to try soft-reseting the phone by pressing the power button for 8sec+ then press again to switch on if it doesn't switch back on. If soft-reseting doesn't work, you may want to hard-reset by using the option in the settings app.

No matter which route that you are going, remember to make a backup via Nokia Link first.

lastly, why are you buying an N9 when you have an iPhone?! just out of curiousity, you can choose not to answer lol

If its legit really a steal deal for a 64GB.

Try do a hard reset to test it out whether the problem still occur. If u are used to iOS u get bored very fast

then better send to NCC like u said possible memory got problem

As others explain try to do proper hard reset, it should work fine after that, if not, it could be due to other issue. You can try update to PR1.1 and see if problem persist, if yes, then most likely is hardware issue.
How did you perform the hard reset?
Did you restore from backup after hard reset?

Since PR 1.0 got problem. I just switch it to gmail and send out haha it says wat smtp error

Errr, my friend's daughter, a Form 1 teen, has problems using an Android phone. Asking me, an 'old school' type, how to use her Samsung.    She's impressed with my N9, wanted something like that, but I told her, no no, too expensive, wait till you work, use own money buy, young people nowadays cannot be too spoiled. Of course, I scored some points with her parents by saying that, hahaha.

i just install latest peregrine and yes it still doesnt have video call feature.
even i want to make 3g video call also cant. faster nokia release 3g video for n9 wanna have video chat with my girl.

Suggest you to replace with new type micro-SIM card; I also same like you cut, I didn't know replace is only RM20... if know, i would've replace it and reduce all those hassle and problems.

You may face the problem again, if unlucky, it may happen when you need to make important phone calls.

I have a question, why our Nokia or their distributors have to stick the sirim and warranty sticker at the back? It is so so ugly. I don't see these sticker on iPhone, why?
