Hi guys, just wondering is there any good software out there for billing purpose, for use in shops & restaurants?

I hope they can do the following:

1.Easy for operator to use, with customizable graphics/touchscreen support, i.e table layout etc.

2.Basic billing which allows customization of billing equations, i.e sales tax, service tax, coupons etc.

3.Automatic store & backup & transfer data back to a server via network as a database.

4.Able to open up database for accounting, trend studies etc.

Please provide the names of the software out there as i'm not very familiar with these types of software.

Thankyou.

During my visit to India, I saw many shops in India use Tally, DacEasy,Wings etc.Tally is the most popuplar. Its good to use original s/ws rather than copies ones.

For resturants there are other biling softwares designed esp :for hotel/coffe shops, it requires another type of inventory mgmt & KOTs.Many s/ws are available in India, but many shops order custom s/ws.

If you are new, might as well try this Microsoft® Office Accounting Express or Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting. I heard it does the jobs quite efficiently.

I would recommend AutoCount for all those usages you have mentioned above. AutoCount is quite easy to learn and use, as my company that I worked for currently is using it too.

When I was looking for an accounting package. I only briefly looked at MYOB and Peachtree etc and I find these too general. Looked at QNE and SQL instead and ended up with SQL
