I need help .... i can't locate the chat button in the FB ipad. Doesn FB ipad have this function?

U have to lay yr iPad on landscape for chat to auto appear. On ios5, chat doesn't work on split keyboard, the send button (return) is not there, join the keyboard and u can start chatting.

Thank goodness for the official facebook app. It is such a struggle to use all the 3rd party app which is lagging and buggy

Not sure the problem, crash, auto quit or freeze happen due to differ settings on individuals iPad coz I never encounter any problem before even from the first iPad Facebook was introduced till the 2nd update now. By the way, for those jailbreak iPad, if you have installed face forward before make sure you uninstall the Facebook app and face forward completely before installing the official iPad Facebook.

Get the latest update today, chat is place in the middle of the screen so the send button is visible now. Viewing photo albums are much faster than before, timeline is only supported for iPhone but soon will be release to iPad as well.

For the latest update, is there any way that I can go offline for Facebook Chat?

I was searching for that option high and low as well, guess they have forgotten to put the option to the latest update....lol

Hi what is the difference of this app and mypad? Btw i downloaded mypad but the view is so small and it seems like I am login in to Facebook via safari. Can anyone help to advise how to fix this? Tq
Btw I am using the new iPad. So not sure if this is the cause coz I notice iPad 2 is ok

This is the official app while mypad is third party app.

Guys, i see many complain said that the new version of Facebook (5.2) always crash and even can't open it at all. however i find the solution. this may happen to the jailbreaking devices. You have to uninstall iapfree from cydia. The problem should be resolved.
