hi guys, Ivan here. My cousin just bought Mi300, and he complained that even with no modifications, the phone is very very lag (yes). Last night I tried to root it with z4root but failed. Halfway during the root, the app exited by itself and the whole phone hanged. So i had to remove the battery. (USB Debugging on)

Anyway, can anyone give me step by step guidance on how to root and install custom ROM from scratch? Which custom ROM is better? MYGB or Cyano? I need a ROM that is light and better performance... Any recommendations ? Thanks...

Hi guys,

I flash a few custom ROMs to my cousin's CSL Spice Mi300.

I tried these roms, but there are bugs:

- PhantomROM - Android 2.2
- MyGingerBread Gaia - Status Bar missing
- Cyanogenmod - Touch screen not working

Guys, I need help here.

1) Can I have the original CSL Android 2.2 ROM with all the CSL logos and stuff, I'm running on Phantom now and it SUCKS! Is the ROM available in ZIP or nb0 file? I've no idea what i've downloaded by clicking the stock 2.2 link in page 1.

2) Any idea which ROM is suitable for this phone? Phantom sucks, MyGB status bar lost and Cyanogen, touch screen not working.
And, please upload the files to mediafire. I think the govt blocked fileserve and megaupload. Damn

Hi guys, just to share this out.

If you wanted to go back to the original ROM, here's a link to get this. This rom is developed by Foxconn for Commtiva Z71. It worked for CSL Spice Mi300 as well. Those who got original Android 2.1 or wanted to get back to the original rom, you might wanna consider this.

Built-in Additional features:
-Interactive lock screen
-Stock Froyo Interface
-New Phone App Interface
-File Manager
-Google Apps
-E-compass
-My Scene (something like Theme Manager)
-"Welcome" and Android Logo Boot Animation
-Some apps worked better

This is the Stock Foxconn Froyo ROM and IT IS NOT ROOTED. You can try z4root/Universal Androot/SuperOneClick. No CWM/Rom Manager/Superuser etc. installed. It is recommended to do a full wipe before installing this ROM.

Those who wanted to update from 2.1 to 2.2, this is the best ROM so far. There is a nb0 file inside and you might need Clockworkmod Recovery for rooted phones and for those who does not, use Software Update Tool and boot into Download mode by pressing End Call + Vol Up + Power.

Found the stock Xperia Launcher for Mi300.
It works perfectly! But after restart some widgets failed to load.
No force closing, even in my S2 it kept force closing.
The folder, gestures all working
