difference is plastic quality, the plastic feel on these kits will feel a bit cheaper than original, and older kits like 001, 002 etc will have a bit of molding problem so you may have to do a bit of trimming to snap fit properly.. but once u are done it will look very close to original, so it is a good substitute for original when you are on a budget or if you want to do modding/customizing
