Updated to nov 29 version. Direct 3D version also updated in this ccc.

no haven't. Just done with BF3. Maybe replay again. There was some cracking in the image before this and performance not stable. Screen frozen many times during gameplay and have to force close BF3 through task manager.

^the red warning light means HP 3D guard has already locked your HDD. Maybe see if you can update the software...

HP has this software to help protect your HDD. When it 'sense' movement, it will lock ur HDD to protect it from damage(bad sectors)

can you try to disable the 3D guard and see if the light changes to white? If not, I think might be something wrong with your hdd...

No, the HDD only blinks when there is activity. If there isn't , then it's off.

Added on December 2, 2011, 8:59 amHappy to report there is no crash up till now while playing BF3. Have gone through 2 missions. I'm on Nov 29 v8.93

I can see my amd install manager too as I used the same installation method as Acid.

^ I also found out recently. So you have to reinstall the amd by HP then the catalyst.

Check your bios firmware. Maybe it's still the old version. Update it to F1.A in order to have fixed switching. Check out the first page for more info.

CM U3 is affordable and effective.

Yes.It's around RM80+. I am using both U3 and Infinite Evo. Both are ok.Evo is slightly more expensive at RM90+. While U3 has adjustable fans that you can position to cool down specific parts of laptop, Evo has distributes the heat through the aluminium top and cool them using 2 fans. The good thing about Evo is u can use it on bed as the intake is behind. That's the reason I got 2 of them. I used Evo more for my dv6 and U3 is for another spare laptop. So it really depends on how u use it. Forget about using U3 on the bed, I've tried, the output air is really low as the intake is blocked.

Anybody knows what is the equivalent US model of 6114? just trying to search up some review...

Graphic card will not be blown by vents directly but the heat is dissipated by the aluminium top. It's warm during gameplay.

I'm getting around 30fps in BF3 using default clock values. Is this normal?

core clock 725 and memory clock 800. So I guess it's normal.

In game settings default. Never changed. It's the mission where I get to shoot down an aircraft that is shooting my team with a stinger missile..
