@acid - need ur guide.after i did tis,wat shud i do?1.Download this HP driver. AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver 2011-11-18 , Version:8.882.2.3000, 338.97M.
Don't install it yet.
2.Download and install DriverSweeper 3.2.
3.Go into Control Panel and uninstall AMD Catalyst Install Manager
When uninstall choose this.

4.After that restart and enter Safemode. Use DriverSweeper and tick AMD-Display. Scan and clean. Reboot. <-------- not really neccessary but i hate the feeling of having leftover files in my system.

5.Install the HP AMD driver u download in the 1st step and reboot.



Optional: Now you can install any official/unofficial AMD driver on top of HP driver. Your selection will vary depending on the driver source.

after ive done the step 5 above,do i need to go amd website and dol and install the latest driver?is tat wat u mean?

make sure u did the recovery disk! =D

Just use HP driver for awhile. I think the performance is great and stable.

Mine is Aug 2009 version.

How to check that?

There is a microsoft direct x there. Mine is dated March 2009...

I take back what i said about Leshcat's 11.11a driver. After a very clean install - performance is just as good as some other drivers. And it's not a pain in the ass to connect it to a TV via HDMI without dark lines on the side.
Honestly, there ain't ntohin like playin Revelations and Batman a big TV thru HDMI, looks like an epic movie, even my small sisters watch how i play and don't say a word XD PES looks like a real football game, too

I don't have that.
DirectX11 come with Window 7 and you don't need to update it. What need to update is DirectX9.


What did u said about leshcat's driver before?
He's driver is good and i think you get more desktop resolution to choose from.

Problem was, i can't use the newer v8.93 CCC with his driver and i need to manually select Disable Driver Signature Enforcement when boot up.

directx 9.0c is the latest.

@acid: directx 9.0c is need to play old games like CS. did u disable the amd external event? u can't disable it since urs r switchable.

Oops. so i have redundant copy?Need to install dx9 in my lappie then...

Even new game like The Witcher 2, Shift 2, Fifa 12, PES 12, Skyrim, Warhammer, AC:Revelation still using DX9.

Acid, no you don't! You just have to install DSE file and that's it! It's supposed to be inside that package already, too. It def. is the most stable of all i tried, it never crashed or errored me at all. Plus, the only reasonn it don't have a signature is cuz it's a really long process to get one XD

The problem is that DSE only work with Window bootloader while i'm using GRUB bootloader. It is a driver great tho, but how to access Intel Graphic Control Panel?

HELP ME please!!! i do the step to install the latest driver as shown by Acid here but its not working at all..it is like my DV6 have no GC....what to do?

It's in C:\Windows\System32\GfxUI.exe. You can pin it to Start bar or any other bar

Mind printscreen you device manager? Try change to Fixed switching in BIOS before u update the driver. Yours is 6100 series that come with Fixed and Dynamic switching. Make sure your BIOS version is F.1A or newer.

Can use CPU-Z to check your BIOS version.
